I heard there is a type of credit card which uses your own savings money rather than credit.

Basically I want to buy things off the net but do not want an actual credit card.

Can anyone remember who offered that?

Most banks offer a debit Visa/MC

I've got one with ANZ (called a Visa Debit card) - I know Westpac have one too. And when I got mine CW didn't have one yet.

Yep CW still dont I rang them.

If I want to order that double ender, Ill have to transfer my funds to ANZ

They can be lifesavers at times. Especially when you can't pay for the fuel you just put into your car because your boss pays you late and your food & fuel money went to pay the mortgage via direct debit...
