Sorry, I have had trouble following anything but the Crows results this year. Can anyone please tell me about how any of the following players have fared/developed/progressed this year?

Matthew Shir (favourite of mine, good to see him in the side last week)
Chris Ladhams
Evan Hewitt
Hayden Skipworth
Robert Shirley
Andrew Crowell
Kris Massie
Mathew Smith
Michael Handby
Todd Steele (from South Adelaide)
Brad Bell (from Glenelg)

Thanks very much.

Matthew Shir

Matt had been putting in some good performances with a struggling Glenelg in the the SANFL. Finally got a game last week and really made the most of his chances. He is playing today which is terrific and he will need to show the form of last week if he wants to be a permanent fixture in the side. Still has a bit of work to do, I think this is his 3rd year at the club and it really is a bit of a make or break year for him.

Chris Ladams

Was also playing very well at North in the SANFL and got his chance about 7 or 8 weeks ago. Had a great game last week, but prior to that his form hadn't been outstanding. Has been playing a bit off the bench which never helps. Has potential and could develop into a very good player.

Evan Hewitt

Has had a lot of injuries this year. Is back in Norwood's league side and by all accounts is doing alright. Problem with Evan is that he plays well in the SANFL, but when he gets to the AFL he can't play the same brand of footy hence is in and out more than often in a couple of weeks. This is also a real make or break year. He may get another go due to not playing much this year with injuries.

Hayden Skipworth

Has not been setting the world on fire at the Eagles. Has really struggled this year. I suspect that he just isn't up to it at this stage. I would think this would be his last year. I don't really see a future at the Crows for him.

Robert Shirley

Has been playing consistent footy with the Eagles. He has been an emergency most weeks for the Crows so I don't think he is that far away from getting a game. I think he is a terrific player and he just needs to keep doing the hard things and opportunitys will come his way. A handy player to have around.

Andrew Crowell

Suprisingly Andrew wasn't that great at the Eagles but due to injurys to others he got a game about 4 or 5 weeks ago. He has been terrific in the last couple of games, particularly last week shutting out Milne from St Kilda. Another very handy player and I think he has a strong future if he continues to develop.

Kris Massie

Played with Norwood early, made his debut against the Power and was a terrifc player. Recently injured his calf and is making his way back through the SANFL. A lively player who I think was a terrific trade for the useless David Gallagher (who can't even get a game at Carlton!).

Matthew Smith

Recently made is debut in the league side of the Port Magpies. By all accounts he is doing quite well. I would expect him to continue to develop and make his debut with the Crows next year. A very good player in the making.

Michael Handby

Has been consistantly in Glenelgs top players. I am suprised he hasn't played yet, I thought he would make his mark this year. I don't think he is too far away. Another player of the future.

Hope this helps!

Brad Bell (from Glenelg)

Thanks very much.

Why do you want to know about him??

He has played the last few games in the Glenelg reserves, not exactly setting the world on fire. Has spent some time playing with PHOS Camden (i think). His brother is probably a better player and a little younger.

I used to play cricket with them.

I know his brother is going to be very good, and I think he toured Ireland with the Australian U-17s last year or this. I was just curious as to how Brad was doing.
