Hi guys, not a regular visitor to this board but coming here for a bit of help.

I have a heap of DVDs that I've bought over the years and I've been trying to convert them so I can put them on my iPod. I bought a product last year called iStudio, which didn't end up converting copy-protected DVDs :( which they pretty much all are now (disappointing)

I figure seeing as I've bought the DVD legally I should be allowed to copy it to my iPod.

Does anyone know any good (preferrably free) software to convert copy-protected DVDs to iPod?
I have heard of 2 - DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. I'm not really sure how either of them work and I'm not much of a techie when it comes to this sort of things so if anyone can give a bit of in-depth help I'd be grateful.

DVD Shrink changes the DVD into ISO files. You can then change the ISO into the video format for the iPod.

There was a thread on this out converting movies inti iPod format. I'll give you the link:

Good luck.

Thanks, but I thought that thread was only for converting files that was already on your computer

I gather from all this that I use DVD Shrink to convert the DVD to ISO, but I'm struggling to find a converter that converts "ISO" to mp4 file for my iPod.

EDIT: "Handbrake" looks like it could be OK?
