We'll have to agree to disagree on that one, would walk in to our starting 22 every day of the week IMO.

He is a HF that has averaged less than 12 possessions a game, not a need for us as Douglas has played the high HF ro,e beautifully this year

He also gets the green bib more often than not which effects his disposal average

Is a very good player. Would swap Hendo for him

Rather stay away from polec and savage...

Pies and hawks wont be the only ones looking into hendo so id be waiting

Hendo would make Hawks best 22 next year where Clarko has already advised Savage that he is on the fringe, we are getting bent ivermectin in this trade

And plays midfield highly effectively for the Box Hill Hawks in the VFL, bit difficult to displace Mitchell, Lewis, Sewell, Burgoyne & co from the Premiership midfield currently, elite kick who often scores multiple goals when playing midfield too. This is an A grade player make no mistake.

Hawks already have plenty of quality midfielders, if Clarkson wants Hendo it will be on a needs basis, your not comparing apples with apples, your comparing apples with oranges.

Cmon hawks have lacked speed through the midfield and he hasn't been able to push his way in

There is no way Savage would push pass Crouch, Danger, Sloane, Thompson, Douglas or Grigg so I'm struggling to see where he fits

So that means he would be fighting for a HF spot with Porpy and Vince

Personally if we are going to let Hendo go I would rather trade for a need

Pies and hawks know what they are doing. Hendo is extremely talented and very valuable in todays style of football due to versatility. I think it was quite obvious earlier in the week that Crows will not be trading hendo as really rate him and where he is going

Clarko has told Savage that he is not in Hawks best 22, based on history we know Hawks pick their trade targets well with a view of being best 22

If Clarko is targeting Hendo he hass him penned for a role, if he his punting Savage it must be for a reason.... Let's not forget Mitchell and Sewell rant getting any younger and their still prepared to punt Savage

We loose on this trade...... badly!

I got a feeling bulldogs might have a go if they cant land any forwards, they might see hendo as a good forward line option and offer a better deal to both us and hendo...

You obviously haven't heard about Mitch Hallahan....YET

Best young midfielder in the VFL, guess what he's on the Hawks list, just won the J.J. Liston Medal., the VFL's equivalent of the Magarey Medal. Shoe in to play midfield for the Hawks next year.

And..... The Hawks rant getting Younger with Mitchell, SB, Lewis and Sewell, if Sacage was goid enough Clarko would retain him

I'm not against attaining Savage but not for a straight trade with Hendo

He admitted Henderson was attracting attention from rival clubs but expected the utility to remain at West Lakes.

"We offered Ricky a three-year deal a couple of years ago when he was still in contract and we saw the development of his talent," Noble said.

"He's a required player and we see that he has the essence of compiling that back end that we're putting together at the moment to be a real strong finals performing backline.

"He's got a couple of years to go and we don't see him going anywhere."

Good to hear. I reckon he's worth keeping at this stage.

We've got Betts, if we end up with Polec and keep hendo I reckon that's not too bad. Pods might turn out to be a good pickup if we get him cheap enough. 32 is old but he has GF experience, and didn't look completely cooked. Sometimes those older players can surprise you with their worth. Would not want to give him much.

Its interesting how players can turn it around. I reckon this time last year people were talking about Henderson like he was Lord Voldemort's bastard son. Zoom forward 12 months and he is in demand and we all love him.

Savage is not A Grade, the Hawks are prepared to let Sewell go and their not even keen to retain Savage to replace Sewell, this speaks volumes alone

lets not kid ourselves Savage can play not just midfield but also forwardand and SIMPKIN was preferred as a sub rather than Savage, not to mention both Populo and Hill (first year player) have kept Savage out of the team in forward roles that sSavage would have been competing for......

If Savage is A Grade what is Danger, Mitchell, Swan, Ablett etc

Always loved him, just thought he should either be playing on the wing or as a forward, but the Crows kept on swapping and changing where they played him.

What a ridiculous comparison!!!

Comparing a guy that would be starting 22 at most clubs, and certainly at the Crows with the absolute elite of the AFL, anyone that plays at the highest level is an A grade player as such. If you want to RANK players that play at the AFL level with A, B, C, D etc then Savage is IMO a B, a higher RANKING than I would place on a few of our players currently getting games at our club.

His kicking would be a welcome addition. We saw how effective a good kicking mid can be when Grigg played towards the end of the season. Kicking is so important in today's game. If you can't hit targets you get trapped in your half and eventually get scored against.

You referred to Savage as an A grader not me and by doing so you draw comparisons with other A grade midfielders like Danger and Swan
