Not too fussed what they say. HUN stories in particular have never been based on fact. The fact is any story or comment on Judd sells papers. So all media outlets will try to spin/slant the situation to grab some attention. In fact the media attention plays straight into our hands, because it gives more free exposure to Carlton, which helps with memberships and sponsors. From Carlton's point of view, it's no big deal if he doesn't play round 1, or misses the first 5 games. 2008 is a development year, and Judd is being managed with a longer time frame in mind.

I saw that sentance this morning and was fairly bewildered at the time.

But then i realised that all Mikey was doing was attempting to thicken up his argument that Richmond might go alright this year. Average journalism.

If Richmond's season hinges on weather or not Judd plays in round one, then they are definately in trouble. Thats all i ended up taking out of his team summary.

Lets hope his Carlton summary gives a better insight.

In all fairness Judd hasn't been seen in any of the of the official pre-season games. I can't think of another AFL player that has missed every single game but is expected to line up round one. Its obvious he isn't going to be 100% by round 1 or they would have at least given him a half of football by now.

100%........full game.........probably not.......but play he will.

He was always a chance in the third OR fourth round of the NAB cup challenge series..........and gee whiz if he isn't being considered for a half of footy this week in the........wait for it..........FOURTH ROUND OF THE NAB CHALLENGE.

Everything that has happenned has done so according tot he timetable set out.

Overprotective? Nope, just responding to yet another meaningless statement, such as the one highlighted here. And that differs from any other player returning from a long term injury how exactly?
The same could be said for Lloyd with his hammy, Stevens with his neck, and just about any other player on any list that has a niggle.
But it's not written about them.........every other day...........its written about Judd......just as it was last week and the week before.

It is written to shit stir us, just as it has been all summer.......but those of us keeping our eye on the ball know that he is tracking just fine.
