Has anyone picked up this game?

I am a huge fan of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, Heroes III is probably one of my favourite games of all time. Those who are into the series, have you played this game yet? If so, what are your first impressions?

Playing the demo, I was pretty disappointed - offensive magic was severely underpowered, game was extremely buggy, shitty town screens and very strange AI behaviour (eg. retreating when they had a superior army). The animations and general world was nice, but I didn't like how they dumbed down resource management. Is it worth getting this game now, or waiting until a few patches hit in?

heroes 2 would be my favourite from these games, and in top 5 of all time. i still remember the game this was all based on, kings bounty, used to play that so much as a kid.

i didn't get into number five, the whole 3d type view just didn't do it for me, i probably will get six when i have more time on my hands, but i still think hands down 2 gold with the expansions is the best. with these games i really never bother with the campaigns, just rather do the single maps in single player mode or hot seat mode.

I have it, played skirmish a little. Might be just me but trying to catch bloody comp players when you have the superior army is a pain, dumbed down resources is crap and so is the town screen. They have also gotten rid of a few races like tower and dungeon. Its not too bad but def could of been better.

Haven't really enjoyed them since II and III. Those were classics. Multiplayer with friends could go on for hours and hours.
