Just a cheery message for scouse fans.

Heskey has apparently come out and said that he will need 1st team football in order to make the Euro 2004 squad. If he is not going to get that at Liverpool he will have to consider his football.

Perhaps has something to with the potential signing of Cissie (sp?) in the summer and the emergence of sinama-pongolle.

He could well end up behind these two. Though his performance against Chelsea was top notch, if he can keep that form going he'll more than compete with our other Strikers. (IMO):D

Oh well.

I agree, if we sign Cisse, Emile can go where ever he likes, will be surplus to requirements anyway.

Owen and Baros would still be my 2 starting strikers, but Baros is still a month away so Emile has more time to stake a claim. But he has had a few years now and done sweet FA most of the time.

The one problem with Baros and Owen up front is the total lack of height.

Do need a target man sometimes:D

When Moomba first posted this I thought he was teasing us poor LFC supoorters.

But now there is even talk of Milan being interested. Who can believe it??:D

Talk of pompey taking Barros on loan, even though he is still injured. A bit surprising to me, so probably bollox.

Boro are after Heskey, somewhere between £5-7m. Don't think Heskey is too keen on the idea.

Heskey should re-join Leicester City, he would go from strength to strength after learning from the great Paul Dickov.

I like the sense of humour shown by the journalists at the Guardian.

From the Other News section in today's Guardian:

Heskey has no interest in Boro

Emile Heskey has point-blank refused to become the next Michael Ricketts at Steve McClaren's glue factory.

Rangers snub Jancker

Alex McLeish has rejected the chance to take Carsten Jancker, the poor man's Heskey, to Ibrox.

As much as I would love it too happen this is just another of the "Pompey need another striker so we will link anyone and everyone with a move" rumours, complete bollocks really.

Anyway it would never happen 'cos there's ONLY ONE MILAN at Pompey.:D

Heskey 'playing for his future'

Gérard Houllier has declared that Liverpool's goal-machine Emile Heskey is going nowhere. Well, he said it.

LMAO shinboners

For that dud to be the major reason Liverpool beat us will truly remain the low point of the Chelsea 2003/04 campaign.
