They did their own due diligence and determined that it was worth the risk. Port had no such luxury to play with given their finances. Imagine if the AO move didn't draw as many new members?

Our negotiations and deal were kept behind closed doors for a reason. Negotiation is not about antagonising the other party. Something your club has made an art form of.
