Would have thought Josh Kennedy ffrom West coast would have got more than 1 mention. Sent to West Coast as make weight in the Judd deal, and had developed into one of best big forwards in the game.

And despite his form this year, Sam Jacobs at Adelaide. Left carlton as 4th ruckman, should have arguably been AA last year.

A few years ago, Brad Scholl for Geelong. Pretty sure he was at North, couldn't crack it and became a handy little player at Geelong. Actually, I think Tim McGrath and Liam Pickering both were at North at one stage too.

Luke McPharlin from Hawthorn, though i'm pretty sure he wanted to leave and didn't give us much option to keep him. Has been superb at freo though

The only players we've really 'given away' that have gone on to any great heights are Matt Clape & Matt Connell who both played in flags (Connell won a B&F too) and potentially Quinten Lynch who is already 30 and played 200 games for us.

Will be happy if Stevenson & Stevens make a fist of their new starts, we traded both away for not a lot and didn't give either much of a run.
Come on! Mitchell White and Brett Spinks dominated at Geelong. Out and out champions. Emphasis on "out"!

Paul Barnard went pretty well at the Bombers.

Salmon did ok at the Hawks.

Pods has made a few teams wonder wtf?
The trade which brought Paul Salmon to Hawthorn turned out really well for all three clubs involved since you guys got a one of your team of the century Ruckmen, Adelaide got Darren Jarman who was crucial in their 2 premierships and Essendon got their premiership bits and pieces player in Paul Barnard and the premiership Centre Half Back in Sean Wellman.

Terry Daniher had played 19 games for South Melbourne from 1976-1977 when the Swans decided to trade the 20yo forward to Essendon for silky centreman, Neville Fields, a 26yo Victorian state rep who was in the prime of his career. Fields managed to play 62 games in 4 seasons for the Swans.

I reckon the Swans would've liked to have that one back

Terry Daniher played 294 games for Essendom and captained their 1984 and 1985 premiership team. TD was a champion footballer who could play in any of the key positions. Tough, hard, dependable. He was on his way to kicking 100 goals in 1979 when he injured his knee. He played his best footy at CHF and CHB, but he could also pinch hit at FB. A 3 time All Australian, best and fairest in '82, players' MVP in 1983 and a member of the Hall of Fame.

This trade also meant that Essendon had the rights to his younger brother, Neale Daniher, who was also a champion utility player, one of the greats, who unfortunately cut down in his prime by 4 or 5 serious knee injuries. He still managed to play 83 games, win their best and fairest in 1981 and was named captain of the Bombers in 1982.

The 3rd brother, Anthony Daniher was taller than his older brothers, not quite as good, but very strong overhead and a beautiful long left foot kick. He played 115 games for the Swans from 1981-86 before deciding to join his brothers at Windy Hill where he played another 118 games from 1987-94 and was named All Australian full back in 1991

The youngest brother Chris was the runt of the litter and not very skilful, but he worked hard to make it and played 124 games for Essendon from 1987-97, including the 1993 premiership team.

Peter Caven for Adelaide. Largely unheralded at struggling clubs Fitzroy and Swans, had his nose smashed to pieces by Lockett at the latter, career going nowhere. Arrives with zero fanfare and expectations at his 3rd club, no idea what he cost. Goes on to be a dual premiership player. Hugely underrated in those triumphs, was superb in the 1998 GF playing on the best player in the competition, Wayne Carey.

Joel Patfull was delisted by port from their rookie list and picked up by Brisbane. Has gone on to win a b&f. Maybe not a star but has been a reliable and consistent player as well as important to our structures

Bob Davis is the ultimate example of this. Was a huge South supporter as a boy, and twice fronted up for pre season training at the Swans (without an invite) and was promptly told both times to 'piss off' by the coach. After one ripping year in the Ballarat league, two clubs lobbed on his doorstep to sign him - South - who he told to 'piss off', and Geelong - who he went on to captain, coach, be involved in 3 flags, win 2 best and fairests, be an All Australian and become not just one of the all time greats and most beloved figures of the club, but of the game.

Ted Pool, who played for Hawthorn in the 30's, is another example. Was invited to come over from Kalgoorlie to Melbourne by Carlton, but when he got off the train at Spencer Street, the Blues hadn't shown up. But Hawthorn caught wind that he was coming across, and they did have reps there to take him back to the club and sign him up.

201 games later, Pool was a state rep and a nominee for their team of the century. He was also the first Sandgroper to reach 200 games in the VFL, and remains one of only five players to play 200 games in the league without a final.

It's hard when you talk fast!

Haha! Good to see someone got it :p

It's crimminal that this was axed...seriously. Now the network is back to it's pathetic best at having a bunch of w***ers on it. My older brother who I currently live with has all the podcasts which are on a constant random loop in the kitchen ;)

Every time Josh Kennedy plays the Hawks now it seems like he's in the best three...haha....ahhh... please come back:p
