Ok were all excited about 2009 and i keep seeing threads about x player taking the comp by storm what i want to know is who are the hidden gems that you think might suprise everyone.

Im not talking about gibbs or yarran.

I saw in another thread that Ellard has put on some weight ect but do you think he can perform?

also want to know if people think hartlet can make a spot in our 22.

Not so much by Carlton supporters, but two of our kids who are no names amongst the opposition in Bower and Grigg have me giddy with anticipation.

Expect these two to have a big 09 and show the footy world that our talent runs deeper than some believe.

I agree, I see Grigg being able to play a similar role to Hodge, in providing a strong enforcer on the HB line. He will also read the play very well and will himself to every contest and run the ball forward with precise kicks to our advantage.

I also think that Anderson will really step up this year, I have hopes that he will provide run out of the backline in a Cristou-esque manner!! Maybe even become our next WOOF!!

A year ago, I didn't rate Grigger at all. Now, he could be anything with the right mentor.

Grigger again in 2009.

Even though some Carlton supporters know that Jamison can hold his own, opposition supporters don't seem to rate him.
I absolutely love this young guy & really hope he can continue to hold his own & even step up to a higher level making opposition players & their blind supporters take notice.

Here's hoping Joey can play 10+ games in 2009.

He'd be right on the cusp of senior selection come round 1, and with Scotland out could really come into consideration.
