What's The Wages of Wins about?

Similar premise written by 3 economics professors looking at proof for commonly held sports ideas. Eg. A major theme is showing why statistically Alan Iverson is rubbish. Very good book, well written and easy to understand, a fraction stats heavy at times. If your really going for it try all Malcolm Gladwells books, The Outliers and Blink in particular. These are all great reads for an amateur list manager:)

I think that is a good move. As good as Krakouer is a crumber he is limited in his defensive work, largely due to his pace. We lacked some quality in contested situations when we most needed it this year and Krakouer could really help out in this regard.

I think Didak may see more midfield time as well with a bit of a change up of our forward line especially the smalls down there.

I think Krakouer into the midfield is definitely a good move. He played the whole year at Swan Districts in the middle and dominated.

He is a high quality crumbing forward, but these days you need to be able to do more than just kick the goals - defensive pressure is the new buzz word. As you say Krak lacks pace and as a result cannot apply the defensive pressure that Leon Davis was in 2010. Leon's goals & possies dried up in 2010, but everyone seems to forget that his forward defensive pressure was the best in the league. We missed that in 2011 and part of the reason our press fell away.

When Krak played in the middle this year, I thought he was very very good. His clearance work, class under pressure and creativity really helped our other mids. He is almost Pendles like in close, he finds space when there is none and hits a target no one else sees.
