Port Adelaide Football Club wants to help steer workers and their families in the right direction as part of the State Government’s Driving Your Future rehabilitation program.
Port chairman David Koch said the club had a duty of care in the community. “That’s what we do, we invest in community programs,” he said.
At Alberton Oval this Sunday, Koch will talk about some of the financial options open to workers who receive redundancy payouts.

I thought that the state govt (ie taxpayers money) were paying for all this "community initiative" and free tickets with poort power receiving the benefits.

Port is a circa 7th-10th best side in the league based on pre-season calls and attested to by their performances this year. They have sashed teams lower than them, beaten and lost to benchmark teams and beaten convincingly by some of the leagues best. Yet you seems surprised. Do you know anything about footy?

The club was the walking dead 5 years ago but now finds itself in a pretty good position. They have achieved this through working hard and experimenting with different ventures and promotional activities. The turn around has been pretty remarkable. So remarkable that some people are pretty green about the clubs achievements.


Often when people have something negative to say or are angry, it is usually about something other than what they are banging on about. What is it that hurts so much in your life? Please feel free to share......

I'm not the one sitting back believing China was a success- or that 35000 is the new 45000.

I don't believe you can possibly NOT be an 84 point worse (at a minumum ) side - if the margin was 84. (Shit kicking for goal and the weather saved you from another 136 or 158 which is what you were losing by in the pre Koch / Hinkley era)

I'm not the one gullible enough to fall for the "we got a great list at Alberton " or that Dixon Polec Ryder and Monfried were the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Or that Two clubs is suddenly One club because of an 80's torch song.

I don't need a Game Day Village or March to enhance my game day experience if my team is playing as best as it possibly can.

My club consistently outperforms your club in pretty much every aspect of what a footy club is about .
