he will obviously get a fine, but i saw a great idea on bomberblitz. lets get the club to take a few tins around the ground and bomber fans chip in 50c, $1, $2... the fine would be covered in no time and then some. its not just about paying the fine, it'll show the AFL the fans are completely behind his comments.

I'll happily chip in on Saturday Night to pay Hirdy's fine, although I think the club would cover the costs because you get the feeling it was something pre-meditated between the Footy Show and the Essendon Football Club.

He really just said what we were all thinking, and had the guts to say it.

essendon are on the way down they are sooking about the umpiring, sooking about not having windy hill and getting all the soft tissue injuries good teams get over that sort of stuff play with the side they have and have a red hot go. james hird and kevin sheedy are sooking about nothing all teams get bad decisions and get some good decisions. so what i say to the essendon supporters is stop having a sook.

But also, Stealth is right, as long as it's only a fine. A fine would be well worth it for everything he said...a suspension or anything more would not. Must admit I was very impressed/happy as I sat there and watched him say it though.

Would laugh if they tried to suspend him. The first player ever to be suspended for not doing anything wrong. Ha what a fcuking joke that would be.

And why has everyone forgot about JAMES - he is the worst fcuking umpire in the world. He murders us everytime. McLaren is nong - James is a fcuking cheat. All he can do is bounce the ball. He is...............well lets just say he makes my blood boil.

The next time he umpires us, watch how bloody biased he is against us.

He wont be suspended. 1st time offence is a fine. He probably shouldn't have named the **** though. Still too late now isn't it.

I can't believe the soft arsed queer was in tears at the press conference. If you are that soft, you shouldn't be umpiring infront of 30k+ people week in week out.

And stealthy, surely there is some form of IQ check that keeps the troglodytes out of here. It worked last year for macpie, I'm sure you can do the same for someone of equal intelect like Fisty #1.

I thought the Footy Show set Hirdy up a bit and really focussed in on the comments. If it had of been Buckley I guarantee you that Sam would not of been reading a transcript of the convo out and highlighting it again.

In all of this also lets remember we have to respect the officials, not an easy job.

My point was the fans advocating to stick it to the AFL will probably found themselves stuck harder by the AFL.

I wouldnt think you would want Hird suspended, but there is a lot of irrational behviour out of Windy Hill currently ....not sure whether M29 would like to bring it on.
