As it's been from the very start, it's a no win situation for the club, players, Hird or us supporters.

Would be pretty cool if he were to train the 34 players throughout this season. Train 4-5 times a week, hold their own intraclub matches. Time will fly

Class, integrity, compassion. Nothing really new was going to come out but he delivered it magnificently.

The haters are going hard at Tracey Holmes, but unless Hird said I'm an evil drug lord and flew off on the spruce moose nothing would satisfy their blood lust.

Missed the first half, what did he talk about /link to the whole thing?

Not sure how it helped? Doubtful it was ever going to.

It was essentially the man saying he can't believe the CAS decision. Just like a hell of a lot of us.

If Tracey Holmes had just jumped on here she would've got more answers and clarity.

If anything, yeah I do believe he believes they didn't dope. Then again he has to.

What stands out to me is the humanity of Hird in contrast to the "optics" of the AFL as he referred to them as. Most want to blame or label but when you see Hird's struggle it really gives a human element to it. His character really, really annoys some people.

Interview was dissapointing, didn't delve into the really interesting detail:
- who at the club was most responsible? Discuss names and levels of responsibility.
- What were the breaches of protocol he mentioned?
- how does Hird believe the AFL tried to make him their scalp?
- Which commissioner told him we'd have to prove our innocence?
- Didn't touch on the role of the media at all.

Think time was a big factor, one hour was nowhere near sufficient.

Tried very hard to make it about the players but he nearly instantly teared up when he mentioned the toll on his family - hope this does something to debunk the sociopath myth.

He's either a total sociopath or unbelievably resilient and ethical - I think (hope) the latter.

How can he say with confidence they didnt (accidentally) dope when he cant tell us what they were given?
That should have been asked - it eventually came up that seen use of the legal supplement in spreadsheets and I think he said in photographic records.

Secondly, he could think of a rational reason why Dank would have doped us - would like to have seen this explored further too.
