Just a quick one - into my footy history and don't know a whole lot about South's move to Sydney. Are there any good books out there about that chapter of your history... the move and all that preceded it?

Like a good footy read and it's something I don't know a whole lot about.

Sorry for the intrusion, just couldn't find anything on here about it. Any help appreciated.

Sounds like Flying North For the Winter is the book you're after. Was a great read.

Or the 2009 one buy Jim Main, In the Blood. It's a detailed history of the club but Main is the man on the history of the move.

My school library had Flying North. Was the only reason I even knew it existed. Tried to use it as one of my HSC texts for History and Memory but didn't get too far..

Nah finished it and loved it, but couldn't find enough in it to use for English. Used that Babel movie instead.
