History on Tigers Side...to make Top 4!

From 1991-2002, the top 4 has been made up 8 times from 12 seasons from at least one side whom finished bottom 5 the previous year, 3 times they've made the 8 and only once, 1993 into 1994, has a side from the bottom 5 failed to make the 8 the next year.

Port 2000...14th...2001...3rd
Dees 1999...14th...2000...3rd
Lions 1998...16th...1999...3rd
Dees 1997...16th...1998...4th
Dogs 1996...15th...1997...3rd
Hawks 1995 (16 team comp)......15th...1996...8th
Lions 1994 (15 team comp)...11th...1995...8th
Roos 1992 (15 team comp)...12th...1993...3rd
Blues 1991 (15 team comp)...11th...1992...4th
Cats 1990 (14 team comp)...10th...1991...2nd

14th...Tigers

The Dogs are gone, as are the Blue Baggers (no backline), Freo cannot win enough games away to make the top 4, let alone the 8, which leaves the Tigers or Saints.
As promising as the Saints are, they're still a bunch of kids and would be still a year away and history does favour the Tigers as sides whom have been there done that a year before their slide are the obvious choices....and the Tigers are still a $1.60 to make the 8!

Based on this history, which relates to the history of the current AFL as we know it, the Tigers are a 75% chance for the Top 4 and a plus 90% chance of the Top 8...

Let's hope that history does hold true though we at Richmond have found more ways than thought possible to miss the finals...

I hate to correct you CJH but there are two teams !!!!

The 1994 Richmond team and the 1998 Richmond team !!!
