People.... well in actual fact I am only speaking my fellow Hawthorn supporters.

Judd is the best player in the league. Hands Down. No Doubt.

Hodge is a gun, but he is no Judd. Hodge is in the top 10 (possibly top 5 on his best day) players in the league, 15 other clubs would happilly take him, but better than Judd?.... I needed a laugh, thanks for that.

Now can we please let this go and be extatic in the fact that Hodge wears Brown and Gold and has comitted to the club until the job is done? Cause I am.

That said, Hawthorn, St Kilda and West Coast have all implied at one time or another that Hodge was the number one pick that year. Unfortunately for Hawthorn and St Kilda, Judd has shown that pick three was two spots too too late.

And for the people who would love to see Judd and Hodge in the same team... pray for SOO to come back... Imagine Vic's midfield..... would make my SA look very ordinary indeed.

wce took judd who already had dodgy shoulders. first game in the reserves he had 50 touches and by rd 2 2002 he was in the side and rose to the occasion. how in the world can judd at the age of 23 be overrated where he has achieved far more than nearly every other 23 year old that has played afl at that age? what you think winning a premiership was given to him just because he stood there.

you cant compare judd with kerr or cousins as they are all different type of players. one player doesnt make the team. cox and co. are all important to the side and judd is the main match winner no doubt about it. today even being tagged he worked his guts out.

Could not disagree more.. Judd has the runs on the board, He can turn a game in a quarter, They will both be great players for many years we should be happy we get to see both of them progress during their careers

Whilst i believe that judd is a better player than hodge ( not to mention everyone else in the league) u honestly could not make a dumber argument after hodge turned the game around in the third quarter..........if u want to make a point u should at least make it valid

While I'm not doubting Hodge is playing well and is in fact a good player, its time to accept that you got that draft wrong.

But whats done is done and now just be happy watching Hodge play good football with good teammates.

Hodge Judd and Ball are all great players.
I dont know how anyone could have split them as 16-17 yr olds.
Nothing to say that Hodge wont capt a premiership or win a brownlow and several B&f's.
When they are 30 and we line up their records I reckon they'll be pretty similar.
Judd being in such a great team gives him a distinct advantage. West coast have had one bad year and got a rare low draft pick. It could have been Nth or Demons or Rich that picked him up and I can guarantee you he would not be considered as great if that had happened. He's still be great, but not as great.

Judd > Hodge > Ball, and everyone knows it, and it will most likely be like that for their whole careers.

Eagles happy with Judd, Hawks happy with Hodge, Saints happy with Ball.

Judd is the best player in the competition. I am very happy with Hodge, but if the draft was redone HFC would draft Judd (and dare I say it so would St Kilda). Both players are completely different type of players.
