Not sure if people have any idea how far Hodgey handballed the ball in the third quarter on Saturday. Must have been close to 30-35m?

Superstar!!!

A lot of people may not have seen this guy play, but Hodgey's handball on Saturday reminded me of Norwood's Garry McIntosh who often used to sprint through the middle of the ground and farm out a 40 metre handball to a player sprinting towards goal. It was spectacular stuff.

Another similarity is Hodge and McIntosh are two of the toughest nuts I've seen, and yet brilliant players to top it off.

It went from one edge of the centre square to around 3/4 the length of the square. The square is 45m long so i'd guess around 35 metres. Amazing, not to mention the precision of the pass! And he had 2 options only 20m away, but that would've been to easy. Superstar :)

Wasn't it lengthened to 50m a few seasons ago? Not 100% sure as the SCG got rid of their 45m arc.

Top stuff! Does anyone have a youtube vid for his long handball to Bateman? It was dubbed "the greatest handball of all time" in the West Australian.

Reminded me of a handball to changa back in 06 i think it was. He handballed over a running changa's head while running into an opposition player. Bateman took it at full pace, and ran to 50 for a goal.
