🤔 I can now start to learn the 3 unforgivable curses... But I'm good wizard... Should I still learn/use them? Feels wrong if I do?
Put it this way, you absolutely obliterate campaigners with ancient magic, so the unforgivables aren't really any worse. From a morality point of view, it'd be hypocritical not to use them!

Way behind on this thread but.... Can confirm visiting Azkaban briefly. Didn't know it was only for Hufflepuffs?! Whoa.

Yes, each house has a specific quest, but only Hufflepuffs get to go to Azkaban and see the patrons. It was a lot briefer than I hoped, so I'm hoping any future DLC/sequels flesh it out more.

Yes it was very short indeed. A sad scene, too :(
We never got the outcome of whether Anne was exonerated or not?

Just thinking over it, I believe the outcome was given in conversation or an owl letter, but could've been done a lot better to give a satisfactory conclusion, i.e. have you actually there.

Ah, I haven't reached that bit yet then. And I agree!
And what about that mole Apollonia Black lol XD

Yeah I feel like I shouldn't but...

Does it make game harder if you don't learn them?

I didn't learn avada kedavra. I also barely used either of the other two and I got on fine. The only time I used imperio was when fighting large groups to take some of the heat off me.

I didn't learn avada kedavra because I was over Sebastian's weird storyline and clicking through a little overzealously. Kind of annoying, the prompt was pretty vague: something like "Nobody should know that spell" locked you out of learning it, whereas the options for the other spells were a lot more obvious ("I do/don't want to learn it").

Same with me. It annoyed me when I realised.

I've just gotten the 3rd spell from Sebastian but my desire to continue has definitely wained.

I'll try and just burn through the rest of the sidr/story missions but doubt I'll bother with the plat now.

You can still learn it as long as you didn't dob him in. You can speak to him in the Undercroft after you complete the main story line.

But yeh, I chose that option too and it annoyed me I had to wait.

Interesting! I've got a long way to go before I get there. I'm still debating whether to learn it, but you're right that the ancient magic basically slams them to death so... what's the difference LOL. I would probably prefer to learn Imperius.

One thing that was frustrating me was only having one spell slot for so long lol. Thank god after Jackdaw's quest you can add those talent points. It was painful swapping between utilities (as I always wanted the yellow/red/purple in place in case of duels).

I will say that Story mode probably has the least combat of all. That suits me personally but for others it might get boring.

Out of all things I've fought so far, the Inferi have been the worst. Yuck.

Even with 4 there is still not enough at times.

Its really annoying that the spells aren't contextual. Like why in the Room of Requirement dont my conjurings spell, deleting spell etc all equip automatically. Why doesn't it change to the beast related spells when I go into one of them rooms.

I think I'm just about to discover the Room of Requirement when I play next (had an owl from Professor Weasley). I'll keep that in mind re the deleting spell etc.

P.S. How on Earth are you able to post with a Day Off lol

There's quite a few quality of life issues with this game that could have easily been fixed with better design/more thought. Even the spells themselves become the same in combat, bar the red and green spells.

P.S. How on Earth are you able to post with a Day Off lol
That was a Chief special. He's had a "Day Off" for a few months now.

Bang on, good idea.

I'm a massive fan of the series, and this is a really fun game...but spell management really sucks the fun out it sometimes.

Omg I suck at flying lol 🤣 I'm assuming it's easier on console than PC 🙄

If you have a console connect a controller. I play everything on PC with a controller and had no problems at all with flying.

What's funny is I attempted the time trial challenge twice and then it asked me if I wanted to skip it, so I said yes 🤣 Wonder if that only happens in Story mode.

Might have to change the controls for flying, see if I can find a better system.

You'll just need to practice. The controls are a bit silly at first but you do get used to them. Just fly around for a bit.
