hey trendsetters,

anyone have any experience with those whirly-bird ventilator things on the roof getting squeaky and needing some oil?

Is it best done from the outside (getting up on the roof) or from the inside (crawling about in the roof cavity)?

(not sure if it was worth a new thread, but we can leave it up if anyone has got any questions in the future)

I think they just drop in on a spindle from above

I havent put one on for a long time but
I remember putting the flashing onto the roof then dropping the top on
If its squeaking it might not be the bearing it could be bent and touching
Maybe some panel beating ?

I put a cubby house together last week for daughter's birthday.

You could practically give me a role on better homes and gardens.

You seem like a decent bloke though, they only give those jobs on TV to massive w***ers.

Hey

I reckon I could murder backpackers in wolf creek too.

God I love this country, the handyman on a lifestyle show and host of child's program also played probably the most famous horror movie villain in our film history.
