I think it was a money Decision when he found out what Maurice Rioli was being payed and Raines asked for a pay rise,
And complained to the Board about it.

He was that good , got surly about the Daddy of them all , Maurice Rioli taking his centre man spot and money issues . A damn shame , so glad Dusty didn’t chase it . He’s on record several times as saying it was a huge mistake to leave Richmond.

Been to a few Richmond and Coburg games with Rainsey when Andrew was playing with us, including games when Andrew wasn’t actually playing. You’ve never heard a more passionate Richmond person. Phew he could go hard. Especially hates Cwood so will be apt to see him out there on Thursday night.

Bloke loves Richmond. To this day and forever. It actually really bugs him that he didn’t remain a one club player with us.
