Yes, it would be great to have more wins under our belts, but lets look at the big picture, and really it doesn't look as bad as a lot of people think.

The difference between 14th and 6th - is one win - if we had of won last week we could of been in the top eight and I would say there were both positives and negatives to the game.

Positives.
Although the boys were getting outplayed during the first 3 quarters - they were still fighting, and never really out of touch.

The disappointment was that after the first goal in the 4th, they seemed to lose interest.

To me that game was the worst they've played all season, considering through some ill mannered play and the likes we have been short of players most weeks.

The first two games of the season - we lost - the other team didn't win, and although the Eagles beat us, there were still positives.

Putting the boot in when they're struggling isn't what the club needs - this kind of time shows the supporters who still look at things and say it's not over yet.

I'm picking Geelong to beat the Eagles this week :) and a close fight for Freo against the Hawks.

And remember - at least we're not Richmond :)

2-5 is more than just a worry, it's "Iceberg, Right Ahead!!!!". It pretty much represents a fast diminishing chance of making the final 8. Every game for the rest of the season has become must win.

2-5 with Geelong at Skilled is a major problem and could almost see us out of finals contention altogether.

This away draw worries me. I hope they are good enough to win the amount needed.

Geelong (SS)
Collingwood (MCG)
Western Bulldogs (Darwin)
Sydney (SCG)
Adelaide (AAMI)
West Coast
St Kilda (TD)
Port Adelaide (AAMI)

Need to win atleast 4 of those to finish top 4.

Our run of home games looks good.

It's not that bad? 6 - 2 - 4. Worse, we have played poorly. It's not the umpires, it's not the opposition, it's Fremantle players getting to the ball second. It's Fremantle players collecting opposition players unfairly, and copping suspensions. It's Fremantle players getting suspended by the club for off field incidents. It's Fremantle players streaming up the field, in the clear, and not hitting a target with a handpass. It's missing 30m targets. It's not shepherding for you team mates. It's kicking down the wing, rather than up the middle of the ground.

It's a few little things that the Fremantle Football club need to change about the way they play. When they play for each other, and as a team, they will be great. When they play attacking footy, rather than waiting for the opposition to fill up the Freo forward line, they will be great.

As well as ALL of your home games for the rest of the h&a season, pretty big call.

Personally I think 6th-8th is the best you will see. :o

That is a very accurate summation of what is wrong with the team and the way that they play unfortunately no one seems to know why they do it or how the problems can be resolved least of all the coaching staff. From my perspective the main reason is lack of discipline and too much tolerance on the part of Connolly and Co., in relation to skill errors and players getting games when they dont deserve to.

Can someone answer me this...?

Is Hasleby carrying a slight injury problem? i saw him at training last night and he looked rather ordinary.

There has been speculation in the media about him having an injury and he is on the extended interchange so he may have to pass a fitness test before the game. Could be a stomach related thing...
