How can Will Slade be named? I thought he was on the rookie list  (nothing against him being named mind you :thumbsu: )

His rookie status was elevated to be able to play because Nick Bachelor is on the long term injury list. One rookie can be nominated i think.

I think he can only play for maybe 6 or 7 weeks.

You're right there - Will Slade was elevated at coaches request after Batchelor tore his hamstring off the bone in a accident at home......can't say anymore than that.

Why bother tantalising us with something like that if you can't say any more?

Is it just Geelong players who seem to injure themselves lots while not even playing footy? Do other teams have this problem? I mean maybe our players need to be taught not to jump off high fences and brick walls at the beach. lol

I'm SOOOOOOOO over the moon that Sladey has been named! I'm so happy for him. YAY! He can't do ANYTHING bad coz his on like 98.something umpire bad points (sorry I really can't remember what they are called. LMAO In other words if he puts a foot out of line then he will get suspened.

GO SLADEY! :thumbsu:

I heard he tore it chasing his dog. Not sure how true that is.

You're spot on there......was'nt sure if word had got out or not.

Chasing the dog and tore the thing clean off the bone - now a long term injury from all reports.
