Are you serious?
Lonergan was making a legitimate effort to tackle Bateman. The last thing on his mind would've been to try and cork Bateman.
Happens a gazillion times during a match. Unfortunately for Porno, Lonergan got him right in the sweet spot.
His name is Lonergan, not Hodge or Mitchell.![]()

Good point there and also do you think that Lonergan whould have got weeks for something that didnt look as bad as Goodes.
And heres another question to put out there. If the player of the likes of McVeigh, McPhee or Welsh did the hit on Selwood like Goodes did, how many weeks do you think they would get.
Im guessing around 3-5 Weeks
He got Bateman with a knee to his leg .Absolutely stupid thing to do and i thought he is gone for 2 weeks .I hope the Bombers players dont copy Lonergan .
Ridiculous thread. Nothing in it at all.
Thought Lewis, Osbourne, Mitchell & McVeigh were all much more fortunate to avoid the tribunal.
Man, I cannot believe Goodes got away with ANOTHER one. Compare his (running past the ball) to McPhee's earlier in the year, when he clearly tried to pull up, the guy bent down and contact was minimal.... but he still got a week. MRP/Tribunal are a joke (again/still).
Lonergan - Was absolutely nothing in it.
