How does the new stadium affect us?

I'm confused On the footy show last night I hear that our new training oval will be on the sight of the old Olympic park. In today's Age it says our new training oval will be on the sight of Gosch's paddock, which having played cricket there many years ago is a good 10 minute walk from the Lexus center, which one is it? Having our administration and training oval 10 minutes walk apart hardly strikes me as the ideal situation.

once the stadium is finished a new oval will be built where olympic park is now right next to the lexus centre

Thaks for clearing that up, Gosch's padoock will need some work, it's a bit of a cabbage patch and with Richmond thirds and fourths playing there doesn't get much love from the council. And if we have to share our new training ground with Melbourne who will get preference when we both want to train at the same time?

The Hun said the new 'super' stadium will be built on Edwin Flack Oval, where Collingwood currently train. Not sure how true the information is, but I am sure the Hun won't lie.

Will be good to eventually have our training oval closer to Lexus Centre, but the next 3 years while we are waiting could be chaos for the team. Hardly the ideal situation for a supposedly professional sporting club. Pity the fine print wasn't checked more closely by the board when signing off on the move to this precinct.

Yep, I wish we had Vic Park at the moment. At least we used to call that home, not anymore though.

The Pies will be using Gosch's paddock. I don't think it makes a difference, the players just have to walk further, which may be the only downside. At least we would be training on a proper ground.

its not too bad in the end. we're getting paid to bring our oval adjacent to the lexus centre, the only downfall is that the demons will use our oval. i guess we'd have preference if we wanted to use it at the same time, i dont know.

the dees would end up using goshs paddock next to the new rugby ground from what i can gather and the pies will be using the new ground to be built when the old olympic park is gone
