How good is Jim Courier?

One of the best sports commentators in the world. Absolute gun. Makes tennis at night better than what it is. I dont think he does a single thing wrong in commentary.

Funny the other night when the camera showed some hot chick in Hewitts box (Not Bec whatshername), Courier goes "Interested..."

whenever you get these kind of blokes its usually a hassle for them and they sound like they couldnt give a stuff but courier really loves it and its what makes it so good

Yeah, I totally agree.

He thinks he's a little bit better than what he is, but in saying that he is a great commentator and thoroughly enjoyable to listen to.

More interesting as a commentator than he was as a player.

Jim Courier is fantastic... very unbiased and not too over-the-top, calls it as he sees it.

Hahaha. Totally agree with some comments here. I love it when Courier "disagrees" with JA. JA is the biggest fool I have ever seen in sports commentating. When Gonzalez hit a winner, a clean winner JA goes "That was out of desperation there" or somewhere along those lines. What a biased idiot. Gonzalez totally pwn0rz Hewitt in that point but JA keeps on maknig stupid comments about the opposing player that Hewitt is versing.

Jim can be OK. But he tends to just argue against whatever JA says, no matter what. Either that or he sets up a question for this same purpose.

And he showed some fair stupidity the other night, claiming it'd be great for tennis and the clothing manufacturers to have players wear their names on their back, even having numbers. What rubbish!

Said it would be great as kids could wear the clothing their heroes do. Newsflash Jim- they already do wear the clothing of the top players and have done ever since adidas or Puma or maybe even Mr Lacoste put their logo on their shirts years ago. Players like Edberg & Lendl used to have their signature shirts 20 years ago. And they didn't need their name or number on the back.

JA tried to pump up "Aussie Lleyton" when he was still in the tournament and Courier tore him apart with simple logic.

JA is the Ian Healy of tennis commentary... worst going around.

Jimbo puts personality, precision and insight into every call.

Love his after match interviews as well. He obviously knows a lot of the players pretty well and has some fun with them.

Was funny how he tried to get Sharapova to admit she is being served by Roddick. She responded in kind and was great to see them ribbing each other.

Great sense of humour too.

According to some on here he should be 'arrogant' because hes American .

He is definitely not arrogant, thats for sure.
