the kids is going to be a star, but not next season

If there is any chance of the crows drafting the kid, lets not expect him to dominate from round one next season, give him 20 odd games for him to find his feet and them another 20 odd games for his form to be up and down.

The major mistake the Western bulldogs have done with Cooney and F Ray is to expect them two kids to become game winners straight away, which is not going to happen.

Expect great things but not demand then from day one

Unfortunately I would think that the chances of drafting Ryan are extremely slim. The only hope of him going to AFC is either through us trading up (at a very high cost to the club) or the hope that some major talented KPP's are available early in the draft, which could not be ignored by the clubs with priority picks. According to most sources, the talent in this year's draft is extremely thin as opposed to last year, so it is likely that Griffen will be gone very early.

That is just stupid that comment. Cooney has had maybe 50 - 60 minutes of game time up untill 2 weeks ago. And Ray has had jack sh*t game time. Hard to become game winners straight away when your sitting on the pine.

Farren is also a good preseason or two away from being physically ready to be a full-time AFL midfielder - as you'd be well aware, the lad has undoubted talent, just needs to put on a fair bit of muscle in order to do himself justice.

he is not has hard at the footy as u would like although undoubtedly he will be a star. i'd rather monfries, more of an all round midfielder.

What part of my comment did you not understand, the hype that was surrounding the two lads during there per season was enormous, all l suggested was they should just let them settle into the role of an AFL player, the same thing will happen to Ryan Griffin if continues getting all this attention.

Considering they had such little game time for so much of the season, i would suggest that they were settling them into the role of an AFL player.

I think that hype your talking about you will find wasn't coming from within the club, it was coming from outside ( media ).

That’s what led to the western bulldogs supporters expecting to much, leading them to be disappointed from the duo’s out put. I could see the same sort of expectations coming from supporters regarding Ryan Griffin. That’s what my initial post was all about

My younger brother plays with him down at South Adelaide and rates him extremely highly. I have seen him play a fair bit for the Panthers as well this year and agree that the kid is a star in the making. A possible premier midfielder in the mold of Robert Harvey IMO.

John Beveridge, the St.Kilda recruiting manager, was recently asked who he would pick if the Saints had the no.1 draft pick this year. Guess who he said?

He said Griffen.

As this is coming from Beveridge himself, so enough said.

Get him at all costs.
