How long do Kochie and Thomas wait?

I think Aurelio Vidmar had a point to be honest ...

"Things change very quickly."

"Someone isn't happy with something, they do whatever they can to fracture it."

"Jealousy, ego, whatever it is."

And then Trengove gets dropped, his contract gets taken off the table and he's pushed out the door.

Sage, Aurelio, sage.

Spot on.
I hope the players and coaches aren't thin skinned when it comes to receiving private or public criticism.

Pathetic Pitman and the response that got comes to mind in these situations.
I hope the whole Footy world knows about it too. I feel we are way too harsh on Kochies for what he brings.

I get the logic of "man up", they're men getting paid hundreds of thousands to play football.

But we were in a final where we were 50/50 to win, with a much younger group (10 players in the team were 22 years old and younger), in a game where we were unlucky to lose, a game in which went into extra time. A game where everyone looked like they gave their all. After that for president of the club to talk to the playing group and call them an embarrassment to the club it would be a pretty poor thing to do (I don't believe he said it though, I think it's most likely media bs)

Yeah I am pretty sure the comment is not aimed at the youngsters.

Channel 7 and that cricket hack footy journo can't be trusted with objectivity when it comes to PA. To busy trawling through Facebook for the moron of the week to pump up ratings.

And didn't they find him in the form of the oval invader. Resplendent in his "Port Adelaide tie", which was not a Port Adelaide tie but simply had the colours. Then they encourage him to come out with "Go the Power".

15 seconds of fame.

We can say that, we are supporters. But nothing good can come of a president to doing it
Like Jeff Kennett?

Real Port players could and should be able to take honest feedback about their performance in public or not.

Coddling them has gotten us nowhere.

Agreed. Kochie has done wonders for our club. At the same time, there are times that I wished he would just shut his mouth and say nothing, at least not publicly.

I'd still rather have Kochie, taking the good and the bad, than no Kochie at all.

I was embarrased by our top 8 record this year.

I was embarrased by our goal kicking this year.

I was embarrased by our F50 entries this year.

I was embarrased we put ourselves in a position to lose to WCE in that final

I was embarrased we got that far in front in extra time and lost it.

I might be wrong to be embarrased. Maunr it's just my issue.

But if I tell the players how I feel and they cant hack it is the problem that I spoke my mind or the problem that they cant hack it?

The reason they cant hack it is that there is an element of truth to it.

Let's comfront it head on. Acknowledge it and move forwards. Not bury our heads in the sand and hope it improves.

Again, it's okay for us to say it. We are supporters. But presidents shouldn't be saying that to the playing group (If he said it). I think most people would agree it would be pretty poor/inappropriate

Agree. People come as a package. Those criticizing Kochie need to ask, do the positive attributes he brings to the club outweigh the negatives? Is there someone else available who would do a better job? For me, the answer to these 2 questions are "yes" to the first and "I don't know of anyone" to the second.

He has every right to say it. Inappropriate my arse.

I am sorry mate I don't want to come off as a dick but your comment irks me to the bone for so many various reasons.

No body has any issues with what he said to the supporters. It's irrelevant. That's not what we are talking about.

What he said to the players post game is what we are talking about.

FFS let it go.

The whole thing started from the comments he made after the match to the supporters.

There is no other incident that you are conspiring about!

Jeezus!

Why does it feel like at the end of every ******* season this club is in turmoil. We played finals this year, had a heartbreakingly close loss but blooded some good kids, our coach is contracted and we seem to be building for the future.

And Hurricane Irma is blowing down the corridors of Alberton.
It's because we failed and blew another season

You do realise that koch came out on radio and admitted he talked to the players post game right??

Who knows what was said.

I don't know what was said. But I would be very disappointed if he said what the media are reporting

Carn. Time time to move on. Just talking in what ifs.

If he did say it (doubtful but if) he has no right to call any of the players a embarrassment after their performance in the final. They gave their all.

Just ignore, people.
Don't stress about "what if's".
Discuss things when there is far more credible evidence of something - not "if this happened - I'm not saying it did, but...." or "well if this were to occur - I doubt that it would, but.... " then "it's a disgrace/is pathetic/I think it's piss poor/that reflects a poor character, etc" when no evidence (yet) exists that these did/will occur.

Seriously.

What if NK decides to launch a nuclear warhead at Adelaide sometime?
What if ISIL runs a semi trailer down Rundle Mall next month?
What if my Mum gets cancer in 5 years time?
What if I am sacked before I reach 70?
What if the old age pension is abolished the day before I retire?

Are we going to protest - have picket lines - slander the potential perpetrators when it more than likely won't happen - stop work - nuke the rest of the world?

Well, I may if they abolish the pension
