I recently became a foreign exchange/futures trader. It's a commission based job, so the pay varies on how often our clients trade. It can be anywhere between 60k-200k pa. The minimum qualification you need is PS 146 and that is a doddle to obtain. It's a great job because there is always plenty of excitement and amusement. I've seen guys make 100k profit overnight and then lose it all the next week. One guy turned 90k into 1million in 6 months, and then lost it all in the next 3.

How do you get into that? I'm compliant for it, sounds like fun.

Studying Drafting. 8 months into course and doing casual work for 20/hr! . It pays to do work experience or work for free and you often get a job out of it.

You know that some people choose their careers because they enjoy their work, right?

Of course, but there are generally a range of career options for people to pick from, each of which they would enjoy. If you discount earning potential in your choice, you are stupid. Enjoying the job is also a common cop out for underachievment.

If you truly don't have to work then you can legitimately claim to be working because you enjoy it. This should be everyone's aim.

Become a TAB operator in an agency/PubTAB.

The qualifications you need are a CSR1 (Sellers) then a CSR2/2A (Cash Control). Will cost you about $500 from William Angliss. The industry is crying out for operators and if you basically just watch racing and sport all day.

Both sports are crying out for them. Usually a decent little earner on the side, and easy to get into.
