Better question would have been to see how much a persons attendance at games has dropped during bad times and whether they have chosen other things to do over going to the footy.

Ill admit I dropped mine in the eighties so diabolical was it and during Frawleys final years it just looked as if we had thrown in the towel.

The extent of the support may waver a little from some on here.

But till death do us part is the only answer you can get from the question you asked.

Its going to be a looooooooong wait till real Richmond topics arise.

Its only November but shit I think Carlton and Richmond better consider going at it this month.

Stupid Post
Look at the last B/F site
"Fitzroy Football Club"

We are the Richmond Football Club
Strong and getting Stronger

Eat `Em Alive Tigers....
PS. Its Worth the Wait

Here to support the tigers for the rest of my life. No matter what happens.

Fair weather supporters can go insert a random garden implement where the sun doesnt shine.

I will be Richmond until tomorrow, I have enough of promising nothing and delivering nothing as well :D

Serious enough I will be Richmond until the day I die :D

Please tell me that was deliberate.

Mmm I noticed that too sante. Not really good enough to be honest.

My first error in a while.

Agree with you 100% about 2nd teams, Sante, but the opening post is possibly the worst thing I have seen written on this site.

Has everyone mis-interpreted the OP or is everyone feeling slightly offended that I would even think that some may not have the loyalty to support the club even if it never wins another Premiership?

Funnily enough, posters like The Snag, santa claws haven't posted in this thread.

I think we're offended that you give certain types of people the opportunity to say something most of us find, not unmentionable, but just not a part of this reality.

It's like asking "how many rejections will it take before you turn gay (or straight, depending on your starting point)".

Support's got nothing to do with success - at least for 99% of us on here, including you Sante - and to even suggest anything else is, apparently, offensive.

Interested in the thoughts of some like the Snag, santa claws, deliberate!!!, beaver, etc.

I don't understand why you assume that posters who hold a differing and more restrained opinion of the clubs future automatically qualify for being potential fairweathers?

I think you'll find a lot of the more crusty posters have actually been following the club forever and a day and have put up with a fair amount of shit to still care enough to be posting about Ricmond on an internet forum;)

The type of fans who will give up are the casual types, and they probably wouldn't post on Big Footy (unless you just won a flag).

In all seriousness, after 25 years of utter failure, Terry's 5 year plan is probably the last roll of the dice for several casual supporters.

I don't expect anyone on here to have that kind of attitude though, otherwise why would you sign up for an account and post?

What He said and as for the casual supporters they can follow Carlton
