G'day all. As there are players all over the country putting their hand up to play AFL next year, I was thinking of creating this thread so we all know how the Draft Prospects went each week. So prehaps the guys in Perth could post on how players such as Gumbleton, Morton and Jetta went, the guys in Adelaide can post on players such as Gibbs and Sellar, and the Melbourne guys could post on the TAC cup players who are going well. Cheers

from what i have been told, scott gumbleton was well beaten by josh vinci from souths
vinci used his pace and ran off gumbleton at every opportunity to really work him over and definitely had the better of gumbleton by the end of the game

Genovese put in another solid performance for subiaco as well as ohalleran.

Im guessing Gary Moss is Graham Moss's son? Im starting to worry that Moss didn't play 100 games for Essendon:eek:

Gary Moss is actually the Grandson of South Melbourne Captain and Fairest and Best winner Peter Bedford. The pedigree is there.

Another good perfornmance from Nugent, a ruckman for East Freo Colts, with 33 hitouts after last week getting 18 hitouts with 12 possessions and 22 hitouts the week before.

looks like it will be out of jacob williams and him for back up ruckmen in the
18s carnival.

Whoops didn't see this thread till posted in the other Sellar thread.

Gibbs - 13 kicks 8 handballs 6 marks 6 tackles 1 goal.

Sellar - 2 kicks 1 handball 2 marks 11 hitouts 1 goal.

Lindsay Thomas - reserves, 4th best 1 goal.

Ok Round 5 in SANFL Gibbs and Sellar back playing after the Under 17 carnival against Ireland.

They played arguably the strongest side in the SANFL atm and while they didn't really shine, they were handy contributers.

Gibbs: 9 kicks 3 handballs 5 marks.
Sellar: 7 kicks 5 handballs 3 marks 1 behind and 6 hitouts as a backup ruckman off the bench.

B.Gibbs and J.Sellar - a couple of future champions there!

You're not wrong there mate, would have to be the best bigman and best midfielder to come out of this state and both in the same year. Sellar is a freak he is like a small Paul Salmon basically.

You could argue Cooney was as good as Gibbs for his age but they are different players. Gibbs is a a top notch kid who will go either 1, 2 or 3.

Sellar seems to fav for #1 atm.

Personally i would rather Cooney at that age over Gibbs. If they were in the same draft Cooney would go one.

Lachlan Hansen from Gippsland Power has flown out of the blocks this year. Predominantly at CHB for the first 3 games and played all day at CHF last Saturday. Named in the best players every game.

Stats after 4 games read as follows:

64 Kicks, 18 Handballs, 42 marks (15 Contested) and 5 goals. Kicked 4 on Saturday at CHF and should have been 6.

Averaging over 20 possies and 10 marks per game.

Good to see him played at CHF and look forward to seeing him there more often this year.

Mitch Thorp kicked 6 on the weekend for the tassie mariners against the nsw/act rams at aurora stadium:thumbsu:

Gibbs only had 7 touches last week but was still named in best, think he tagged. Sellar had about 9 touches.

But this week, both were awesome.

Sellar, 11 kicks 11 handballs 10 marks IIRC, 10 hitouts as well.
Gibbs 18 kicks 6 handballs 9 marks and 1 goal and named high in the best.

Todd Pfieffer was great for North Adel, 9 kicks 3 or 4 handballs 5 marks and 2 goals.

Lindsay Thomas only 3 touches for Port in limited gametime but is very much like a smaller version of Lovett.

Daniel Caire on debut for west adelaide had 11 disposals in two and a half quarters...
