After years of that not working out, the clubs focus has now shifted to landing a “Big Fish”. And that seems to be going just as well.

And on that, is there any chance we could target a player without making it public knowledge throughout the Western World???
Imagine us trying to do the Buddy deal that Sydney did 5 years ago.....

When was the last time a team won a flag without injecting talent from other team, Even we had to trade for Carey and Langmuir otherwise we wouldn't have won anything in the 90's.

i hardly doubt that doing deal in silence would have any difference in whether we get a player or not.
In turn we drive up the price of the player and leave their team with less room in the salary cap.

After all the only player we legitimately missed out on was Trelor(however you spell it) all other stayed.

Carey had every team offering him big bucks in the 90's but he stayed.

Strongly agree with that part. I have a feeling that now it's reported so much in the media because everyone is just excited to see it go **** up as usual.
