Not sure about changing the size, but if there is room to spare on the edges (i.e nothing important is on the sides) you can paste it into paint and then reduce the size of the white box to 50 x 50.
However remember to save it as its original filename and not as a .bmp, otherwise you will lose the animation.

Use any good graphical program, and just resize you're picture to 50x50. But the quality of the result may be greatly deteriorated.
