Just curious on how afew went today:
Young, Dowler, Murphy & Tuck.
Was youngy as poor as what he has been of late?

Thanks for that but i just dont think his skills have been good enough to be that outside midfielder & he doesn't have great pace & isn't hard enough to play any other role just my observation.
All those Dowler haters give him time he hasn't had a preseason yet, was injured for both & has an element of class which i think could make him a surperior forward to either roughy or boyle.

Tucky can be pleased with his debut. Actually small signs of his dad's class.
Dowler worthy of the more game time he will be given.
Murphy. Ordinary but is better than that.
And My Man Clint, you must have watched different games than me of late, brookers#5, when it come to his form. He was one of only three players who appeared to go to Adelaide and play. He was our third highest possession getter last week and he put his light body on the line today against bigger, harder and more experienced players. His long bomb goal brought the crowd to their feet.
Watched Murphy at Box Hill a lot and rate hin highly against the other Hawks listed players down there. He plays IMO similar to Birchall.Until today, i didnt realise Murphy was a good player, but he actually played well, and could be a really good player for us!
Ranno said:Gary it's probably best you don't comment on Clint, i detect a hint of bias!!!!
. And there is certainly no bias. Actually my appraisal of Clint is very near to that of Todd Viney's.Todd Viney said:"Clinton Young's value to Hawthorn is immense because he's a '120-metre player' in that he will run 20 metres to get the ball, run 40 metres with it and then kick it 60 metres and at his best, he can really hurt teams."
Judging him on one game. Why then has he been selected in all games this season bar one when he was out with an injury? If you can Ranno, get out the tapes/ DVDs of games thus far this season and then ask Buddy what he thinks of Clint....... last week against Stk .......
Now you're talking, Ranno. However, I would use the words reasonable season. He has a long way to go and he is not an orphan in being that as far as most of our other youngsters go.Having said that, hes' had a very good season.
