So childish :o . You're bound to run up empty handed on lame comebacks sooner or latter so I'd advise you to stop posting now.

He can go on and poke all the insults he's got at me for all I care. He's lost for words in the debate and has turned to insults to make up for any arguments he wished he had. And as for the insults, I'm sure you can come up with better ones than that can't you? Poking fun at body shape is just very very childish.

Here's the thing:

You- Insults on body shape
Me- Argued Football Topic

I agree none of us will agree to the other's point of argument but where in this thread was I childish as to speak of?

The important thing here is

Street for Haynes Win or Lose
I vote WIN , a much better long term option

Does he play on too often or too quickly?
Has he been instructed to such?
Is his job as a forward to be the Mark/Kick or Mark/Pass or Mark/Handpass?

All good questions and unless we know Thompson instructions its on conjecture but I don’t think he has been dragged for playing on has he?
What I would like to see is, that ones strength is also ones weakness, consistency is predictable. If we know he plays on, then opposition does too. I would like to see a player such as Tenace be given the task to run forward to create the option of a handpass receive. Tenace is quick he should be able run away from most players to receive the ball and hopefully run 15 and have shot at goal. Haynes would also know to look for the designated runforward player after the mark. He would know that there will be an option if he waits, also that another player will be running to his zone to assist if he deems it to advantage to play on.

No doubt Tenace will be a key playmaker for us in the future providing great run from the wing. But it's only his first season and we shouldn't be asking too much from the boy.

If that's the case then why has Haynes been run down numerous times already this season?

Saw that Haynes has been dropped this week after having a pretty quiet game last week and being well beaten by his old mate Adam Hunter. So I figured I'd check up how the old Eagle is going at the moment?

So far has he been alright? a regular contributor? Will he be a Cat in '05? What is the general feeling amoungst the fans?

Was his game against the Coasters an indication that he still has those matches where it seems you may as well have gone in with 21 men?

To be fair to him, none of the Forwards had a great night, and as Charlie Gardiner had been playing well, someone had to make way. They fill a similar spot, and something that has been new at Geelong this year is our depth. Definetly a cat next year and hopefully many to come. Possibly still having back problems?

Quite happy with his addition to our club , but like all our forwards who are basically paid to covert opportunities, his kicking needs work. He would be well advised to hire a personal kicking coach , Bernie Quinlin or a Paul Hudson type person. If he could improve his kicking he would be better value to the side, it would also give him confidence to present more. He is not bad but is just not good and as nana has said there is competition for the spot he is playing for. Currently there are not many forwards at our club that I would trust in a "3 points down , 40 out dead in front, kick after the siren" situation. It would be a raffle with most. If somebody was more reliable that could get them the game over someone else.

Pretty much exactly why the Eagles traded him I think. He's not bad, but he's just not quite good enough to be a realistic target up forward. I kind of think that he might just be as good as he'll get at the moment but he's still worth giving a go because occasionally he'll play a top game and be a big part of a victory.

Good win tonight btw guys, any team that loses to my team one week and wins me money the next is alright by me. ;) Good luck in the finals, you'll be there.
