Notes:
Hugh Beasley was arguably the best key back in the TAC Cup last year. He went undrafted, but has come back as a 19 year old with more strings to his bow. Beasley held Tom Boyd well in round one of 2013. Despite Boyd kicking four goals, two of them were gimmes and the other two came very late in the game. Beasley gets in his opponents head and throws them off their game without infringing.

Another player who’s season has been marred by injury, Hugh Beasley will be hoping that his early season form and current potential is enough for him to get drafted.
Beasley hasn’t been able to cement his spot in the team this season, having only played nine matches for Oakleigh, including a two month mid-season layoff because of injury and has also missed the odd game as well. He started the season off very strongly, and in the opening game against Eastern Ranges, kept Tom Boyd to only one goal in three quarters. Boyd kicked three more in the dying stages of the game but Beasley’s performance was impressive nonetheless. It remains one of the best defensive games on Boyd all season, who is far and away the best forward in the TAC Cup.

Rated the fastest player at the Oakleigh Chargers despite measuring in at 192cm, Beasley looked like enjoying a bumper 2013 before dislocating his knee cap. A very aggressive tall defender with excellent closing speed, he had the better of expected No.1 pick Tom Boyd early in the season and thrives on one-on-one battles. He's strong in the air and having run a blistering 2.89 seconds for the 20m sprint at the state combine, he's got the acceleration to stick with any leading forward.
