If Pies are in the same position as last year in the prelim halfway through the third. Who would you sub? (hopefully the sub has not needed to be used.)

I am not expecting this to be the case but it would be interesting to see who people would want to cotton wool for the rest of the match if it did happen.

I would choose either Jolly or Cloke. IMO these are the 2 players we do not want to lose if the game has been iced.

I think there are some others eg Daisy or Reid possibly after having not played for a couple of weeks maybe Pendles or even Swanny. But Jols and Trav are the hardest players for us to cover if something did happen.

I'd go with the most important player to beating Geelong or West Coast next week and the one we can least afford to lose to a late injury. In my eyes that's probably Jolly because if he stands up the following week to give our midfield silver service that'll be half the battle won.

Don't worry about silver service - if he can just break even with Ottens then that will be a big achievement.

Ottens is a big worry for us if we both make the GF.

Whoever would do best with the rest and doesn't need match fitness. Anyone with a niggle would be first. I'm not sure subbing off a KPP or Jolly would be a good idea. Jolly actually could backfire because it would mean smaller bodies in the ruck and running around all day. KPP might mean we can't work to our structures. So in saying all of that probably a running player and give them a rest.

Sub pendlebury. Had no rest this year and his so so crucial. Of course that is assuming noone else has a pressing injury there playing with. If we got the game in the bag u can rest jolly in FF
