I went checked up on another website called TigerFury.net i was majorly annoyed and dissappointed in one of the major topics being discussed on the site at the moment.

It was headed "What's Lacking", and it was basically who we should trade and who we should recruit. Some things i agree with and have already happened but when i read the players that they would like to trade being, Biddiscombe, BOURKE, Chaffey, DAFFY, GALE, JAMES, D Kellaway and Rogers.

Sure the guys that are in caps. are already traded or retired and we really didn't have use for them, but the other players named, i thought ... gee, you must be kidding, i think that these players for atleast for another season need to be there just so we have the reasurance that we can play either with or without them but these players are valuble and can do something.

I think the website made a big mistake.

I am happy so far with who has been traded and who has retired (well maybe not, i think Gale could have done the good thing and held on for another year) but lets hope we keep everyone that plays for us now and only pick up players that will help us in the long run. :)

Well, you've gotta watch out for those Ferals over at TigerFury.net!

Tigergal, as Hawthorn have shown, there is really no player who is above being traded. Hawthorn badly wanted the #1 pick and as a result, had to be prepared to give up a quality player for it.

This scenario is not beyond happening at Richmond either. Remeber, there was much angst and outcry when we traded Chris Bond to get the #2 pick, subsequently used on Brad Ottens.

In hindsight, this appears to have been an excellent trade for the Tigers. I am sure you agree.

As for the players on the list you provided, I am sure they are all tradeable... I would even suggest that we may have to part with someone like Bowden if we too were in the same boat as Hawthorn.

And don't believe it can't happen!

tigergal like cjh said to get a high draft pick and in the position we ended up this year just like hawthorn if you are lacking in a certain department and that player you need is one of the top young players you have to trade a quality player to get want you want.
on the richmond list there is probaly only two players who is off limits and thats ottens and richo.
cheers!

Whenever he took a chestmark do you think that he has broken his ribs? I know we used to think that everytime your assistant coach Crocker took a chestmark. I still can't believe we picked him up. Although I suppose with Calthorpe gone we had to find someone to hang **** on. ;) or should it be

taxi there is no denying bourke,s heart he will give a contest however after his 1st 3-4 yrs at the club and the countless couragous acts of backing into packs etc just like his old man he was told to take a backward step so to speak! his body couldnt take that kind of punishment therefore his confidence went downhill.
pagan is a great coach and obviously he sees bourke in a different light to us and while its a huge punt on his behalf a new envoirment may do wonders for bourke as it has for rocca.
i just cant see bourke improving but if he does well then goodluck to the lad.
cheers!
