On another site I visit, the thread that had this article in it got deleted, because someone complained about people cheering about the death of this human excrement., go figure.

I have no sympathy for the father either, he is the one who let his son abuse the poor dog, seeing that the kid was eighteen & the dog was "old", I assume he has been doing this since early teenage years & who paid for the dog food?

Good riddance to bad rubbish, no tears here.

I think the only examples of "human excrement", here, are those who would celebrate the deaths of two people simply because they don't like them.

Shure, they were going to do something cruel to the dog, but it's only a dog. Anyone who advocates death as a fair punishment for mistreating an animal has placed an absurdly low value on human life.

I was going to say the same thing, but retracted it because these days its not necessarily a parent's fault that a kid turns out how they do, considering you're not even allowed to spank them.

And for all those whinging, dogs are completely dependent on us as humans to take care of them, and you think it's any less cruel to take that trust and throw it out the window by trying to murder this dependent creature?

People who torture and/or kill their pets are just as bad as people who murder other people as far as I'm concerned.

Personally I'm not saying it's particularly funny that two people drowned, just chuckling at the irony. Or karma, as mantis put it.

Dog meat recipe book published in Germany

Two German men have written a book with their favourite recipes made from dog meat.

Uwe Dressler, 45, and Alexander Neumeister, 31, from Dresden, list a variety of cooking suggestions in their book.

Entitled The Cold Dog, their book sells for £8.50, Bild newspaper reports.

It is illegal to eat dog meat in Germany but the writers say they won't let this stop them.

"Dog meat is low in fat and easy to digest," Dressler told the paper. "We're calling for it to be legalised."

I take your point about the value of human life. A grieving mother and wife is left behind, and that is sad, at the very least.

However, many people celebrated the deaths of Saddam's two sons, for instance. Was it simply because "they didn't like them?" I doubt it.
