He is one of my favorite players on the list. A super smart, genuine footballer, tiny but tough as nails. It's a pitty we didn't draft him much earlier.

Having said that, I doubt he stays on the list, or gets a chance at another AFL club! I wish he was younger, that way he would be a must keep!

Would very much doubt he stays around unless the club offers him a mentoring role in our SANFL setup or as a forward coach. Hes a Bulldog through and through and think they will want to keep him around. Having said all that, with Betts in the side he could provide a dangerous 2nd option with less reliance on him to provide defensive pressure.

A shame because he is a terrific little player & probably the best kick on the list, but it is hard to see him being retained now after the signing of Betts.

At 31 it is hard to see how the Crows can trade him as he has little or no currency, so his best chance is if he is delisted & someone takes him in the pre season draft which is unlikely, especially when the likes of Chapman & Didak who are similar players are also on the market.

If he doesn't get picked up, I hope he returns to Centrals & wins a Magarey Medal.

Why cant we have 2 goal kicking small forwards on the list or in the team for that matter? IMO we have several players we know will never play AFL football that can be flicked first. If we think wingnut still can play at the top level, and it seems we do, then why cant we keep him a bit longer?

FF. Callinan, Jenkins, Lynch
HF. Betts, Walker, Petrenko

Both Callinan and Petrenko wont be on the list. So do we go with the better player even if hes much older, or do we go with the younger, more athletic guy who plays outta his skin once every 6 weeks but is a liability in others.

I guess it comes down to how many players the club has to move on. Given that the club has already added Betts, Laird & Hartigan to the senior list & with a minimum of 2 live picks in the draft, the club has to move on at least another 4 players.

The obvious candidates either by trade or delistings are Tambling, L. Thompson, McKernan, Martin, Joyce, Henderson & Wingnut. I would add Graham to that list as well but he is contracted for another year I believe.

Callinan is nowhere near the worst of that list & would be unlucky to go but once you get past 30, clubs can be pretty ruthless.

Nutter already knows that it is extremely unlikely that he will be on our list next year, this is why his manager is already publicly exploring other options

He doesn't play out of his skin every six weeks, he may jump out of his skin at the thought of actually being at a contest on time.

Wright, Petrenko and Porplyzia say hello

We had no Betts this year and Callinan wasn't in our best 22

Good point, although he started the year as a lock. Had a very average season I thought mainly due to injuries. . . I agree re: Wright. Would be a good small forward back up option. Not sure about the other two. . .

Nutta is a football tragedy, he should have more than 10 seasons of AFL behind him.

Once he ripped his bicep three years ago we should have cut our losses. Every game he played/
plays is one less played by a KID. He will not be near our best 22 by the end of the 2015 season when we hopefully will be pressing for the flag.

Whilst I thought Nutta would offer more than Porps in 2014, we can't play both of them and possibily wont play either of them with the arrival of Eddie. This is one of a number of hard calls that Sando needs to make. Just do it Sando

Porplyzia isn't a crumbing forward. I don't understand why his name constantly comes up alongside Callinan. It's about as sane as comparing Walker to Callinan.

Petrenko isn't a forward full stop. Can't kick, can't bowl, can't throw.

Wright I'll give you. Maybe.

Still think we should hold onto Callinan as our backup ruckman for Jacobs. He's just as useless as Graham in the ruck but provides more around the field. :p

Unfortunately I can't see him remaining on our list although the thought of him and Betts in the same side is an interesting one, but just can't see it happening. I still think we're in with a chance within the next year or two so I wouldn't be totally against holding onto him if we did, but we've got to make at least 3 list changes so if it's not Callinan it's someone else.

Why would we delist him if we can trade him?

Exactly this. I like how we've deliberately not delisted anyone. It means we are trying to wring every last drop out of the trading options.
