What's the go with this bloke? I thought he went alright last year. I noticed he isn't getting a game at the moment.

What would be the reason for this? Form or injury that isn't being disclosed?

There's nothing wrong with him physically, it's more the mental side.

Ayres has noticed recently that he is in bad form and needs to really assert himself to football.

I do not doubt his ability, but recently he has not been very beneficial for the side.

Like most people, Ayres also thought this and decided to give Perrie a break for AFL Football and get him back in form and give him some much needed confidence in the SANFL.

So far, he has not been very special, but expect him to come back into Adelaide's team soon.

Perrie might even get into the side this weekend due to the suspension of Biglands. Perrie's a tall, so Ayres might see it fit to bring back Perrie.

I my opinion, I think we should give Ian one or two more weeks in the SANFL, and if he's showed some good form, definitely consider bringing him back.

But it's up to Ayres...

Thanks for that.

I selected him as a key forward in one of my fantasy teams and wondering whether I'll ever get any value for money out of him.

Another query; Mick Handby. He was delisted at the end of 2002 after two seasons. What was the go there? The best junior footballer I have seen play the game, understand he picked up a few hand injuries over there, but how come he wasn't given a shot in the big time? Is he still playing in the SANFL over there?

Yes, Handby transferred to South Adelaide after he was delisted by the Crows. (He was originally with Glenelg). He missed most, if not all, of last year through injury. I believe he has played in the A's the last 2 weeks. Whilst at Glenelg he always looked good when he got the footy, but 10-15 touches a game isn't enough for a midfielder or flanker. I was always impressed with his marking considering his average height and his long kick.

and I'd say you've done your dough on Perrie. Trade him ASAP.

....to add to the mix I think the coaching team are reluctant to put Perrie in a forward line with you know who.

After all, theres been only one game where theyve both kicked bags 5? together.

I love the Sarge and hope he finds form mentally because hes got good aggression and can mark on a lead at full tilt.

Can't say Kenny & Carey have kicked too many bags together either...
