maybe you should get down to training and explain this to the coaching staff.
because it seems they are also of the "contest, and create space for others" brigade.

Give the guy a break, "he presents". The fact he can't mark and has kicked 12 goals in 10 games as our main forward focal point is irrelevant.

How quickly we have come to accept second best.

how quickly people become convinced of their own opinion, no matter how irrational.

I liken our situation with Perrie to if Toby Thurstans, Jade Rawlings, Kent Kingsley, Drew Petrie, Ben Holland, Troy Simmonds, Jason Saddington or Quentin Lynch had to play as their team's focal point. Sure they're all capable players to varying degrees and can deliver a solid performance on their day, but they ain't no focal point. Fortunately they have superior players to take the heat off them. Perrie doesn't.

I agree that Perrie is a third forward at best.

Scott Welsh is also a third forward.

Our nominal third forward the last few weeks has been Ken McGregor, who at this stage is a makeshift option.

We're going to go nowhere fast, and backwards very soon, while we play 3 "third forwards" alongside each other.

Fergus Watts may not be ready to the focal point, but he's more a better chance to be the number one focal point in a year or two than Perrie, Welsh, McGregor, a resting Biglands or Hudson.

As such, he needs to be in the side now to grow into that role. It might cost a bit of short term pain, but considering we've averaged less than 12 goals a game in Craig's tenure, and kicked 10 goals or less in 10 of the 19 games he's coached, we aren't going to be a lot worse with Watts in and Perrie out.

Perrie hasn't kicked a goal for 3 weeks, has taken just over 4 marks/game in that time, and his confidence looks pretty low.

Watts / McGregor / Welsh need a run as a combo for a few weeks.
