Is it just me or has "Sarge" gone back into his shell???? For the last 2 games he didn't present himself at all. Today was probably a bit difficult for the forward on a small ground where the forward line was crowded but he could still at least present himself. One mark today was not acceptable from your FF. I think he needs to lift up a notch in order to keep his place in the team.

Very poor game from Perrie today. One of three useless tall forwards along with Schell and Hentschel.

Hope sarge don't drop his bundle again as he still has a lot to offer,

Was not a good day for tall forwards especially on the SCG & i felt sorry for young Hentschel as he did try to lead & compete but his timing was all over the place,

He has looked out of sorts for the last couple of weeks. I would give him another crack at it tagainst West Coast and if he doesn't show signs of improvement then drop him for the showdown game. He really needs to pick up.

Playing 3 tall forwards on a ground like SCG is a waste IMHO. The forward line gets crowded and you cannot really lead out of the goal square. I think Hentschel would have been better of being played as a HF flanker today. He was a nervous wreck and had a shocker but I am still putting my money on him being our next big thing up forward. Still needs to put a bit of muscle on his frame.

To be honest I'd say the SCG would be the worst ground for a player of his type to fit in given the sides structure and the way the game is played there. I wouldn't have chosen him for this one even though I'm keen to see him do well.

Altough Perrie didn't do alot today I still feel he is one of the Key for Adelaide to become a side that consistantly wins, If he can kick 2-3 goals per game it really does make our forward line that bit more potent and it takes some pressure of guys like Stevo and Carey. He just needs to attack the contest that bit harder - as he did earlier in the pre-season and first round.

IMHO he is the key now since Welsh, Carey and Burton are battling with injuries. If Welsh and Carey were fit and firing I think Perrie would be back in SANFL and out 3 "talls" in the forwrd line would be Carey, Stevens and Welsh. Perrie is a very good back up but he needs to fire when he is needed. Unfortunately he hasn't in the last couple of weeks. We need Perrie from Wizard Cup back and we need him back soon.

Dont be to quick to drop him you blokes...

Rnd 1 = Played very well
Rnd 2 = Our feed into fwd 50 was sh*t -hence no fwd done any good
Rnd 3 = Stevo was always gonna be the focal point on a small ground

Leave the Sarge alone!!

I'd give him a chance for the next 3 games. If he doesn't lift, then its time for Sarge to go back to North Adelaide to get some form.

My impression from the telecast was the Perrie and Hentschel spent a lot of the time flying for the same mark - a contrast to round 1, where Perrie/Carey/Stevens seemed to have their communication going well. As topjars said, our midfield delivery was shocking in round 2, so it's hard to mark Perrie too harshly for that.

You've hit the nail on the head.

Sarge has only proved himself to be a handy backup at this stage. I believe he could be more than this.

He better fire up over the next few weeks or I have no doubt he will be playing in the SANFL come mid season break.

Glad to see someone else agrees with me. As I said he is very crutial to us at this moment but if Burton, Carey and Welsh were fit, Sarge would be back with North Adelaide playing SANFL footy.

Although Welsh can pull down the big grab I think he is a bit under-rated for the way he can read the play when he stays down, if you could play Carey at FF Stevens at CHF Welsh on a half forward flank you could probably squeeze Perrie into a pocket? Have Burns in the other pocket and Ladhams or Burton on the other flank...... wouldn't be a bad forward set up

if it did't work then send Perrie back to South
