If TW gets his marching orders what would be the response if one Nathan Buckley applied to take over the Richmond post? Would you be in favour of it or do you think his heart will always be at the Lexus centre or is he too inexperienced.

I dont wont a no namer like Bailey i know Clarkson was but come on we need a star a Hird Buckley Voss type.

Give me one reason why NB would want to coach us ???

I will bet my left testicle he will replace Mick Malthouse when he decides he has had enough

I know that but Mick may be there for another 5 years. He played under Mick who is clearly a great coach he was a good player.

Ok how about Guy McKenna?

Buckley? We have no idea if he can coach. Same with Hird, Voss and Hardwick (who seems to be gaining a reputation on BF for no reason whatsoever). We gave Wallace 5 years for a reason. It was always going to take at least that long to mould some type of competitive side. Same situation as Bomber at Geelong.

Hardwick ticks all the boxes:
-hard nut back pocket
-successful at EFC then at Port despite rejection
-assistant to Williams
-now right hand to Clarkson
-honest
-big on discipline
-will not take sh-t from Richo or Brown and will not hesitate to pack careers with a one way ticket.
-comes with ticks from Sheeds, Williams & Clarko

Wallaced already failed at WB if we dont make finals March should stand by his word and sack TW.

i get the feeling nathan buckley has zero respect for richmond he always refers to our culture or lack of it

wouldn't happen, he's one $%#@ in the media that is particularly scathing of the tigers in a smiling assasin kind of way. He will most definately be NEXT coach of the maggots, nothing will stand in the way of that happening

Exactly. The main draw cards is that he won a premiership under sheedy so he knows what is required from a players perspective to win a premiership, he played for port when they won the premiership and he was Clarksons right hand man when building Hawthorn to the powerful unit they are now. He doesn't seem involved with a club while it has been going backwards in the last 10 years.

Sounds like he is the best availiable candidate at the moment.

I am not worried about Essendon not picking him over Knights because from what my understanding is that Hardwick was honest enough to say their current list is not good enough to win a premiership and need to rebuild while Knights said they were.

THAT'S exactly how it went down, Solid one!
I have it on further good authority that it was a similar situation at Melbourne, with Bayley telling the board what it wanted to hear in that its list was a good one, while Sheedy thought the list was ordinary and it was time to rebuild!
Similarities there to Wallace, who said back in the day, that our list was better than Hawthorn's...just what a board likes to hear!
