to be honest i feel the whole thing has been slightly tarnished due to Carlton's recent success pre-season. I'm not sure what to read into it all.

It makes it easier for people (clubs that have already lost) to not read much into it.

However if we get to the GF, then it is potentially 2 top 4 teams and a top 8 team (IMO) that we would have defeated. Regardless of players etc, that is a much better experience than playing the bottom 4 teams.

Is it "super goals" or normal 6-pointers that decide the GF because I was sure it was 9-pointers last year??? Oh well.

I'm also torn this weekend with a dilemma of the highest proportions.

If the Crows win: We get into the GF with money avaliable, game on TV, big crowd, etc.

If the Crows lose: I get to go see us play live at Subi!!!!

My morals are getting a work-out but I guess I hope we make the GF. That's the sort of problems I face living in the great state!!!

Everything I have read has said "greatest number of goals kicked over the three week period", nothing about super goals.

One year we had a regional challenge match at Optus Oval. That was sweet. You could go out on the ground for the quarter time and three quarter time addresses.

Was that against Melbourne in 05? If so I was at that game and some smart arse was giving perrie shit while he was in the huddle...I collared him by the scruff of his neck and told him I would be laying the boots in if he continued. He STFU and went to the oppositions huddle!! Good times.

We need to kick more than 7 goals AND win to host the GF.

I think DeFy_you was saying that if we win and only kick 7 goals, the venue for the GF will come down to number of super goals kicked over the series. I think we've kicked 5? Not sure how many the Sainters have kicked.

If we kick 7 goals and just win the match, I'll say here and now - it was a shocking game. If we will and I'm confident, we will kick 13-15 goals.

But for the record, Saints have kicked a total of 3 super goals and we have kicked 5 (with 1 game in hand).
