Was just wondering who tiger fans hold in higher regard outta these 2 soon to be guns! if you could only keep one who would it be CONNORS OR EDWARDS AND WHY?

im gonna take connors i believe he has a massive upside and could be in our top 3 players in the next 5 years or so, his marking ability for someone his size make him a difficult match up, add in the good skills the goal smarts and that little bit of grunt im tipping this kid could be quite speccccial

The better comparison would be Foley and Deledio. Both have actually played enough footy now. Edwards and Connors have barely played.

I would take Connors because i believe he has a to play in more positions than Edwards and he seems to that X factor that Richmond really need

Connors. Only because we have seen sooo little of both that an even partially qualified call is nigh on impossible so on 'potential' only I think Connors might have more strings to his bow.

FOR the purposes of the exercise..as in who do I value more highly...Edwards. The kid is going to be a beauty!! Were it not for the great Richo, he'd be my favourite player on the list...soething about watching a kid develop at the club from day one.
Though I'm with most peopole here, I'm rapt we're keeping both. Both will be 150 plus game players I feel!

Along with Andy Collins they are the 3 most exciting youngsters in the league. Miller has done well because none of them were first round draft picks.

My favorite out of the two would be EDWARDS - Played 16 games this year so I we got to see a bit of him, he's a young kid (as is Connors) who displayed a terrific attitude and ball skill. He's a gutsy player who backs himself against the opposition, and I can see him going a long way with the club. And with a bit more muscle over the pre-season along with his current attitude I hope to see this Rising Star Award champ have a stellar season!

Now this isnt to say the Daniel CONNORS isnt as good a player or lacks potential, it's just that he's only played 4 senior games so it's harder to gauge how good he is at AFL level. He did however win Best Player at Coburg award in 2007 so that clearly shows he has the potential. And from what I've read / heard he his game improved when his attitude changed later in the season and got himself in relatively good condition. From all accounts if he continues to improve his fitness/endurance he will be a valuable player who can burn off opponents and (hopefully) demonstrate what he can do with the ball.

There's a lot to look forward to this season in Tigerland.

At this stage Edwards for me, both very different players, I just hope Edwards goes on and doesn't end up another Fiora.

I can't say Connors, seen him only the couple of times, so Edwards for me.

If I had seen more of Connors, I'd choose him. I'm not a massive fan of the flashy skinny blokes, they always turn out inconsistent and stay in a FP (Which Edwards won't, thank god )

Yeah I agree. Thomas has done more obvously but there is a likeness.
I hope they dont take that risk taking attitude out of edwards.

I would take Edwards only because ive seen bugger all of Connors

His skills are silky and his footy brain is second to none amongst the youngsters.

Edwards sometimes looks like hes lost out there...but he'll still be good. Dale Thomas comparison is interesting...but thomas has more skills and edwards has much more balls.

if they can keep Connors in line he could be anything, I'm willing to stick the neck out and throw potential champion out there.

menace on the piss- hope its not enough to overwrite the above qualities.

Edwards will be a great find though, if nothing else for his tackling and forward line pressure.I think a hard nosed chasing tackling forward is what we lack the most and this is him to a tee.
