If you could re-do the 2008 AFL Draft right now...

There would certainly be a few clubs expressing a bit of :eek::eek::eek: right now. The real top 10 based on current performance and potential:

1. Mitch Robinson
2. Michael Hurley
3. Chris Yarran
4. Jeff Garlett (Rookie)
5. Sam Jacobs (Rookie)
6. Nic Naitainui
7. Steele Sidebottom
8. David Zaharakis
9. Dayne Beams
10. Jack Ziebell

Missing spuds of note:

Jack Watts - Not inside the top 16 yet selected at #1
Stephen Hill - spuds it up at #3
Daniel Rich - peaked at 18, s**t return for a pick #7
Lewis Johnston - huge spud at #12
Ryan Schoenmakers - another epic first round failure from Pelchen at #16

LOL OP shows his complete lack of football knowledge by including Zaharakis in the top 10 :eek::eek::eek::eek:

And the most grievous error is how low Sam Jacobs is.

Clearly No 1 in that group & a guy who is undoubtedly the best young ruckman in the land and one that will surely lead Carlton to their first flag in what it must be coming up to a couple of decades now?

Of course even if the worst were to happen & GWS was to pick up Jacobs, you'd be guaranteed at least 2 first round picks for him, given his performances & potential.
Naturally however that's not going to happen due to his loyalty to the club & Carlton's brilliance in developing & retaining players.
You sound rapt to have lost Davis so you could finally get your hands on a decent midfield prospect in the form of Brad Crouch. :thumbsu::eek:

Plodder.

Pfft.

If Jack expected Warnock to beat Goldstein for very hit out, then he would eventually die of frost bite.

22 disposals, 10 tackles.

Crap game from a 20 year old that's never had a proper pre-season.

List is nearly spot on, except Yarran is clearly better than Hurley except at bashing Cabbies, Jacobs should be a lot lower due to the poor football development at the Camries and the Palm Tree would be lucky to be in the top 50 from this draft let alone top 10.

Due to Mitch Robinson being no 1 on your little draft thingy, I can only assume it is in order of who looks more like an albino gurnard. So yes, I fully support the op on his top pick.

LOL. You blokes from the Bool are top notch funny.

Hill is a gangly little flog that doesn't know how to play with an opponent. Reminds me of Matthew Lappin minus the goal kicking, marking and courage

As opposed to Yarran who is as soft a half back flanker you will ever see? turns to water everytime he has to defend. Hill recieves the best tagger multiple occasions, Yarran is not even close to his level.

Seriously mate the sooner you come to terms with how spectacularly bad Carlton did in this draft, the better.

not even in a carlton fans wet dreams is b!tch Robinson the best player in that draft.
1)nic nat
2)Hurley
3)Yarran

Hill and rich are better players than the other carlton players listed and will be considered so at career end.

Same goes for shoenmakers and Jack watts...they will both be top players given time.

with one carlton player with a * Jeffie Garlett...that kid could be the next cyril Rioli

Funny how you missed some other Pelchen picks from the draft.

Liam Shiels
Shane Savage

And from the rookie draft

Luke Breust
Matt Suckling

KM likes to load his threads with subjective material.

This post pretty much ends the arguement.

Funny how the facts quickly kill the fantasy.

RELENTLESS, POWERFUL, RESILIENT!

Robinson is the Carlton equivalent of Pavlich, but a far better overhead mark and way more courage

A perpetual choking joke, that goes missing for entire slabs of the year... but somehow maintains a high profile with just 1-2 good games against nothing opponents?

For once, I completely agree

LOL the last thing Ziebell needs is weights. He's already slower than McLean :eek::eek:

You'd eat a yard of s**t to have him in a navy blue jumper.

Jack would make Bryce Gibbs pregnant by just looking at him.
