I couldnt beleive Johnnon was getting bagged in the media the way he has been all year. I was honestly disappointed that the media made him a marked man cos I thought he was the last chance EVER in the modern game for a player to break the most games ever by a footballer.

Even against Collingwood last week he had a fair game, better than some of his teammates, he still has the flair and the skills. Sure he looked a little hobbly but he was doing his job and a preseason could have been a chance to rest his body and come back again and do his usual game winning things.

So good stuff Johnno, 360 games or whatever it was is massive..... and he always did well against Geelong the basterd

Sorry Johnno. i have said a few average things about you in last 48 hrs and upon reflection i regret it. So i will put my tail between my legs and pi$$ off for a while. Good luck saturday night. hopefully you can prove your doubters wrong. Up until last month i have been a massive fan. Seeing you at the media conference i felt sick about what i had been thinking and saying to work colleagues.
Sorry once again......

Nope. Shouldn't be playing this weekend. Great career. Shouldn't be playing.

Are you kidding? Johnno is THE Champion player of our time! He will play this weekend whatever you think. If we win, he WILL play again next week....and if we win then he WILL play in the GF. Even on one leg he will play his heart out and I'm tipping that will be better than some of the guys in our team. I will be there to support him and I hope the rest of the team pull their fingers out and get him over the line. He deserves everything and even if it means that we lose....bad luck, at least we give him this honour.
Go Dogs, good luck Johnno! Thanks for all the great memories.

Johnno and the team have my 100% support and I trust those inside the club are doing every thing they can for the club to move forward, no matter how things can sometimes look standing on the outside.

What are you backing him for?

Stuffed Achilles, He could not run 4 weeks ago, or 3 weeks ago or 2 weeks ago or last week. Now because its his last game he is going to will his gummy leg and be servicable?

'Tell him he is dreaming'

His only use this week will be as a motivational aspect. He will get another 5000 to the ground to see him off. He may get the players inspired.

As far as his form goes? He will be off the ground for at least 40% of the game. If he blows up earlier he will be stuffing the rotations and putting pressure on the rest of the team. So in the third and fourth quarters when you are screaming at the players to run and man up remember why they cant. This unfortunalty will occur. We all know it will occur. Sydney will take advantage of the fact because they know as well.

The MC are sticking thick with Captain Johnson. They are paid to manage the team. So if the ship sinks, we sink together with our Skipper. I will go Saturday to acknowledge a brilliant career and individual.

If it goes the wrong way, we have time enough to deal with the MC and Eade in the off-season.

That's right, we DON'T know what is really going on. Would Johnno want the team to fail? We have to trust that those in the best position to know are aiming for the very outcomes we want. There are so many "experts" on these boards and sitting in the stands, but given the chance they couldn't achieve any better.

Ridiculous thread.

We have always wanted our players to succeed when they pull on the jersey.

BJ is the luckiest man alive to even be in our starting 22.

He should not be there on form OR fitness and has been getting picked because our MC are weak and do not make the hard decisions.

Now we are supposed to believe that because a guy is retiring he will somehow be able to put in a performance that he hasn't been able to do all year. What a joke.

As long as the club keeps being run like a charity we will win nothing.

Saturday night I actually turned on Johnno. Disgusted with myself afterwards because the only reason we are paying out on his performance is that we just expect better than that from him. He wasn't our worst!

This week, honestly, I would prefer him out of the team - for Hooper.

I know it is a lot to ask of a kid to come in and run amuck, but, Johnno just does not look fit. Perhaps we should swing him to the back pocket - his ball use is still really good, or play him out of the goalsquare (but I prefer Hall there).

Either way, I hope he can shake this bloody injury off, and show us that he has saved his career best form for the last 3 matches of his AFL life...

Some people still don't get it. Hopefully, and we are allowed to hold out hope aren't we, some of you will be eating this. You all should WANT to be eating it.
