The only positive i can think of that nobody else really mentioned is the Simmonds' game. I thought he was a HUGE positive for us. Started off really bad, but composed himself to play a relatively strong game.

Yes very huge. Ive been hoping he got a good run in the ruck . Lets hope he stays there and his confidence grows even more.

I have been saying since round 1 that Tiva is on the way back. The whole side is starting to shake off the lethargy of the spud regime. We have a lot of players that love an attacking style of footy and the team is growing with every win. Spuds negative game plan killed a lot of careers.

Finals footy is just around the corner. I wouldnt underate this list.

I noticed a couple of times Tivva was coming out of defence and about to chip it to someone on the wing, but instead he changed direction, ran towards the middle and booted it long, straight up the centre of the ground. Great stuff.

TW brilliant. Completely out coached the premiership coach. Even when we were riding the wave to victory he still had the b*lls to move richo into a loose man. Gave us all more to chear about when the big fella mopped up all of Ports scraps.

Improvement left in: Coughlan, Krakouer, Tambling, Chaffey, Meyer.
Schulz to bolster backline when/if needed. Forward line looking very dangerous. Difficult for opposition to man up on, Brown is getting weaker opposition and his goal tally is growing. Pettifer on the improve.

Campbell to play more from the bench. Tuck!!! awesome.

If Meyer has a great season, I take back everything bad I've ever said about Greg Miller. A guy that can spot talent in todays speculative futures market of young football talent, deserves to call himself the next Greame Richmond

I think this point about Tivendale is a really poignant one. If ever two players were suited to TW's game plan of running, carrying the ball and taking risks, I think Tivendale and Rodan are it. Rodan was in great touch in the preseason until his unfortunate knee injury and Tiv seems to be finally finding his feet with it too. He can be a devastating player with his long, precision kicking.

I think finals is still a way off though.

Just want to say one thing about Richard Tambling. I know it was his first game and all and he was probably dead nervous, but I didnt like at times how sat around the packs and didnt go in. Thats being very harsh, however, it was something I noticed.
I was absolutely rapt to see him position himself around the packs like that. The only other player we have had for the last few years smart enough to put himself in the right spot for the loose ball get has been Campbell, everyone else dives in after the ball like a pack of under 12s and leave the opposition to mop up. I thought it showed some footy smarts. There was no doubting Tamblings courage. He put himself in plenty of hot situations when the pack was bearing down.

The only knock on Tambling is that he is a bit of a fumbler.

But I think we can put that down to nerves and the big occasion more than anything else.

His speed is good, he can run all day, he knows how to lead and how to rove (good footy smarts) and unlike most small forwards he knows how to get a lot of the footy.

I think in a year or two he will be a great wing/half forward.

He'll always be a bit too small and light framed to play in the centre square but he will be very good for us on the outskirts.

The thing that impresses me about Tambling more than anything else though is his attitude. He looks like a very serious character and has a lot of will to succeed. Doesn't look like the type of guy that will be distracted from outside influences.
