He's not the guaranteed key forward neutraliser he once was. If a youngster demands a KPD place, his position may be threatened.
Let's just say that the kid would have to mount an impossibly strong case before Rutten's position in the team comes under threat. At this point in time, given Rutten's current form, it is impossible for a kid to show SANFL form good enough to displace Truck. Not going to happen.

Now, if Truck drops off in 2-3 years time then it might happen. It won't happen in 2010 and it's all but inconceivable that it could happen in 2011 either.

Out: Stevens, Mackay
In: Bock, Porplyzia

Porplyzia historically eats the bombers.

I like the way you're thinking, but I think the 3 game history is struggling to be statistically valid. Other than the EF last year where we smashed 'em (5 goals), he has only had 26 touches for 3 goals in the other two games.

Serviceable? - yes, eating? - perhaps not.

Can Porps do the midfield role of Mackay, or do we need to bring in Cook/Petrenko?

The only available ins are

Bock (if he pulls up OK)
Jacky - not going to get a call up from SANFL reserves.
Martin - will need some more match fitness yet
McKernan - Dunno what's going on here
Schmidt - What role suits him best? If he can play mid/fwd, may be a chance for D-Mac. 27 touches this week
Cook - How is his SANFL form?
Porps - Solid game for Westies. See above.
Pets - Did he even play? May be a chance to be promoted in for Mackay after being named as emergency last week.
Gunston - afc.com.au states "the crows scout marked him down for six goal assists" Could be a smokey to come in for Mackay. How has he been other weeks in the SANFL?

The footy show just named sellar as an in. Did he not get injured last weekend?

He did - and will miss 2-3 weeks according to the AFC media releases.

The team won't be named until 5pm tomorrow (4:30pm SA time), so they're just guessing. Goes to show how little attention they pay though, doesn't it?

That's really bad. But not unexpected
